If only the whole country had strong NYC gun control.

New York City Had Its First Weekend Without A Shooting In 25 Years

"A city of 8.6 million people — not a single shooting for three days," Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Monday, according to CNN. "Let's thank the NYPD for what they've achieved."
Funny that crazies always point to gun control laws.

We have very strict muder laws has that curbed murder? We have very strict fraud, kidnapping, stealing laws has any of that stopped? We have laws against illegal drugs, even a war on drugs, how many drugs are now unavailable?

Nothing changes because of laws. Criminals are till going to do what they think they can do. Sweden has very strict gun laws yet they are fighting the import by criminals of fully automatic weapons and hand grenades.
Great Britain has always had very stringent gun laws, yet people are still shot and London has now been forced to ban knives in public.

Detroit has strong anti gun laws. How well has that worked out? But for the first time New York City has a few days without a shooting and some one calls for gun bans as if the laws that have been on the books for years suddenly created a gun free utopia.
Our homicide rate is 4-5x that of countries with strong gun control. Strangely a lack of dangerous weapons everywhere seems to lower homicides.
And yet countries like Greenland still have higher homicide rates then we do.
Here Are The Homicide Rates For Countries Around The World Funny I was not aware that Greenland had such a lack of dangerous weapons.
They have a population of 56k, are you serious?
Other countries are equal or higher then ours. Are you really serious that you think criminals will somehow follow a gun ban? Tell me some story that explains how Detroit and other cities that have strict gun laws are now gun death free. Tell me a story about how New York City is going to suddenly become gun death free.

Still telling this lie. Amazing.

NYC proves that strict gun control works

El Paso Texas has a ton of guns, and a ton of Mexicans, and a similar murder rate as NYC per capita.

The problem is racial scums, so sorry to say.

El Paso is nowhere close to NYC in population
Also Juarez is one of the most dangerous cities in North America

El Paso's murder rate is actually slightly lower than NYC's per capita.

Jaurez has less gun availability than El Paso, that's kind of the point, that many Gun control freaks don't seem to grasp.

Not at all a lie.

Nothing you posted is true, factual or based in reality.... more guns = less crime....that is a fact.

We went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400-600 million guns in private hands and over 17.25 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2018...guess what happened...

-- gun murder down 49%

--gun crime down 75%

--violent crime down 72%

Gun Homicide Rate Down 49% Since 1993 Peak; Public Unaware

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.
Crime rates dropped after we got background checks. They have jumped up a little as concealed carry is getting more popular.

Wrong.....

Background checks don't stop criminals from getting guns....not even in Europe...

Crime went down right after background checks. Bounced up with concealed carry.

Wrong, again. You need to read slower, and sound out the words...then you might understand that as more Americans now own and carry guns, our gun murder rate went down 49%....showing that more guns does not equal more gun crime.......

Your entire argument is more guns would mean more gun crime, and the exact opposite happened....you have no argument. The facts, the truth and reality show you are wrong....

We went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400-600 million guns in private hands and over 17.25 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2018...guess what happened...

Yes it went down after we got background checks.

Background checks don't stop criminals......are you this stupid, or do you just pretend to be this stupid.....?

And they are less free..freedom comes with a price comrade

.
Freedom isn’t good for much if your dead.

So you call it "living" in a country like North Korea who has non existent gun deaths?

All countries compared for Crime > Violent crime > Gun crime > Guns per 100 residents

North Korea is under a dictator. I mean countries like Germany, France, Denmark, Japan... freedom and low homicide rates.

Germany, France, Denmark are experiencing increasing violent crime as they import violent 3rd world males.....and as their social welfare systems create more and more families without fathers.....

Japan...is a police state....their police powers and court system keep all of their crime rates tiny......and long prison sentences for gun offenders keeps their Yakuza from using guns.....long prison sentences are what we want...but democrats keep letting violent gun criminals out of jail...they need dead people, killed by criminals with guns in order to push gun control.
And their homicide rates are a small fraction of ours.

They never had high murder rates...... and Britain, after banning guns, had an increase in gun murder...and it never went below where it was before they banned guns.

In America? As more Americans not only own guns, but actually carry them? Our gun murder rate went down 49%.....

Law abiding gun owners carrying guns does not increase the gun crime rate or the gun murder rate......that is a fact.

you DON'T want the murder rate to go down??

Great Britain murder rate FOUR times lower than the US
very stupid to bring up GB or London as a PRO-gun argument--

St. Louis has been controlled by democrats since 1949 and they keep letting violent repeat gun offenders loose.....that is their problem.....

Rise in Murders Has St. Louis Debating Why

Jennifer M. Joyce, the city’s circuit attorney, or prosecutor, an elected position, complains that in St. Louis, the illegal possession of a gun is too often “a crime without a consequence,” making it difficult to stop confrontation from turning lethal.

At the same time, deeper social roots of violence such as addiction and unemployment continue unchecked. And city officials also cite what they call a “Ferguson effect,” an increase in crime last year as police officers were diverted to control protests after a white officer shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager in the nearby suburb on Aug. 9.

-----------

Now, an overstretched department is forced to pick one neighborhood at a time to flood with officers. Last month, Chief Dotson even asked the state highway patrol if it could lend a dozen men to help watch downtown streets; the agency declined.
----
When the police discover a gun in a car with several passengers, including some with felony records, but no one admits to owning the gun, criminal charges are often impossible, Mr. Rosenfeld said.

In addition, according to a 2014 study by Mr. Rosenfeld and his colleagues, a majority of those who are convicted of illegally possessing a gun but not caught using it in a crime receive probation rather than jail time. Gun laws and enforcement are stiffer in many other cities.

the murder rate does not indicate the effectiveness of gun control...Britain had a 42% increase in Gun Crime last year in London......and a 23% increase across England and Wales..... that means that criminals in Britain can get illegal guns....and they are using them...

They are not murdering their victims...why is it so hard for you guys to understand that dynamic?

They have illegal guns.

They use illegal guns for crime.

They do not commit murder as often....yet. That is already changing.
