Yep.....apparently, new laws are needed to deal with drive by shootings in Australia......they are tired of having to prove which thug in the car actually pulled the trigger, and now want to be able to charge everyone in the vehicle with the shooting crime.....
But....I thought Australia had gun control laws that made it impossible to have drive by shootings.....right?
No need to prove who pulled trigger in Victoria's proposed drive-by shooting laws
New legislation to combat drive-by shootings will be introduced to the Victorian Parliament allowing police to charge all occupants of a vehicle involved in a shooting, rather than having to prove who pulled the trigger.
Key points:
Under the proposed legislation, sentences will also be increased for recklessly shooting at a building or vehicle.
Police will no longer have to prove the offender intended to cause harm or injury.
