On a hill
Another good season. Netflix continues to belt out solid series.
If you haven't watched this one... your missing out.

Rumors are that Netflix is deep financial trouble.

Netflix stocks are on fire...as in wonderful.
Their revenue is on a steady climb, membership continues to rise.
Lately they are on a cash burn, buying many titles and creating their own series... and their stocks are overvalued...like most everyone else.
Unfortunately, I think they are ripe for a buyout. Warner Bros. or someone like that... and then watch the rates soar.
My bet is on Apple. They have the cash reserves to do it.

You heard it here.

What's Ozark about? I see it on netflix recommendations every time I go to turn something on there but never really looked into it.

A guy and his partner have a CPA firm, the one partner is laundering money for the Mexican Cartel without his knowledge...things go bad, the Cartel murder his partner and are going to kill him as well until he convinces them he will improve their profits and get their $million back that his partner stole. That all happens in first episode, after that it is a series of all manner of nightmares and things he has to do as the Cartel continue to escalate their business and demand he launder more and more money.
It is a good show

I just finished the last episode.

It did not end in the way I wanted it to.

FUCK!

Since there will be no season 5, I was hoping for a finale like in many series that ties up loose ends. Apparently the Director and Producers disagreed.

However, I think it is one of the best Netflix series. The script was topnotch as was the acting of Julie Garner, Jason Bateman, and Laura Linnely

The first few episodes of the first season was decent. Then it went off the rails in a huge hurry. Let me get this straight...

Set in modern times, a HS drop out from backwoods Missouri is able to break the code to beat slot machines at rival casinos and drive others out out business.

This was after Marty (Jason Bateman's character) talks the same hicks out of millions of dollars in cash by threatening them with the revenge that his employers would bring to them

Either the show is a complete farce or these are the most sophisticated hilbillies ever.

Laura Linney is worth watching in any setting though.

We finished the last season last night.
The only thing good about the last season is being able to watch Julia Garner play her role.
Other than that - the last season was a hot mess.
So many plot holes, and wild assumptions you have to swallow.
But the worst of all - is watching all of these characters form and build to a point you feel like you know them. And then watch them do and act out of that character in order to write a different story.
It sucked Netflix

I think Julie Garner as Ruth is what keeps the series alive. I don't think I could stand to watch 4 seasons of the Byrdes. All the main charters prove to be dysfunctional in one way or another, yet they are able to survive by creating the most improbable crazy events with the cartel within a hairs breath of wiping them out and the FBI closing in. Yet, with that said, I think it is one of the better series. It took about 5 episodes for me to get hooked. I nearly gave up on it after the 3rd episode
