NAFTA deal is done between U.S. and Canada...Canada to cede large part of dairy to U.S.

Keeping yet another campaign pledge the Trump administration ditched NAFTA for a better deal for American farmers and workers. Canadian liberal Prime Minister Trudeau backed down. He is now Trumps bitch. Lol.:laughing0301:

Uhhh...dumb shit...NAFTA is not gone. NAFTA has been tweaked slighty and will have zero impact on most of the things that Trump whined about.

A new coat of paint and a new name on the same old agreement.

For all of his blustering and all of his fake "art of the deal", NAFTA is 95% the same as it was before he started all this shit.

But they aren't calling it NAFTA, and for the inbreds who support Trump when they go to WalMart and buy Chinese made shit, and wonder why they can't get good jobs, that was good enough.

True, a new name is all that it will take for even more Trump ass kissing.

The motherload globally are autos, the new deal is better. Milk and lumber are not big job creators like autos. Now we need to cap Korea's, Japan's and Europe's autos to make more here in the US.
"As expected, the deal calls for cars to have 75 percent of their content originate in the U.S. and Mexico, up from the current 62.5 percent, and for 40 percent of a car to come from workers whose pay averages more than $16 per hour. The rules are a central part of the U.S. strategy to rebalance manufacturing to benefit American workers."

Its a better deal for the US than the original NAFTA
Terms of Service Violation

That remains to be seen. The tweaks will likely not have much impact at all. The 16 and hour minimum for 40% of "the car" will not likely bring jobs back to the US because the 16 is still well below what we are paying people to build cars in this country.

The 3.5% of the dairy market adds up to about a half a billion in extra dairy sales for the US, if we take advantage of the whole 3.5% of the market.

All in all, this is what is known as "much ado about nothing".

That is far and away the biggest "win" in this new NAFTA, I do not see it changing much, but I guess only time will tell.

Which of these two items would be worth a company spending billions to relocate back to the US?

Man y’all liberals won’t say one good thing about Trump no matter what, do y’all not see the extreme hate for anything he does, this new deal might not be earth shattering but dam it is somewhat better for Americans than nafta was. Grow up!

All we can say as conservatives, is that Obama was a no show for America... He sat on his ace on things like this, while trying to attack America in everyway he could to make us pay for our past.

"Those jobs ain't coming back y'all"

Obummer.

Lots of trees will need to be cut down to rename everything, what a waste.

So much success. Are you "Progressives" :auiqs.jpg: learning anything yet?

Apparently not.

Canada gave up nothing on timber/lumber and we get access to a whole 3.5% of their dairy market! :21::21::21:
I'm disappointed we got nothing on timber/lumber. That has been a big problem up here. But the tariffs are going to hurt the fishermen badly, too, and they aren't on the subsidy list. Trump doesn't care about Maine.

to me, i have no idea. i know there's bluster and hype, but i'd like to see NAFTA vs. the new agreement in place to compare before we say victory or same shit, different name.

i hope it's better for us, if not everyone. but w/o details i'm just reading headlines and getting happy which is kinda pointless.
