some USMB member says they need more than 10 rounds for self defense/etc
another member says a pistol won't do if you're confronted by a lot of people
then other USMB members say knives and cars are just as dangerous as rifles/etc
why don't they use knives for self defense--instead of firearms ??!!!

I think the point is the person is more important than the tool. Bombs are more efficient than just about everything. Maybe we should ban them? However, guns, knives, and bombs do not have intent nor will. By themselves, they are harmless.

I'm pretty sure bombs are banned.

Everyone has to make their own decision, based upon their own circumstances , as to what kind of firearms or other weapons they should be carrying.

Some people definitely do need to have more firepower, if they think they might have to face down multiple murderers like Al Pacino.

firearms [ rifles ] kill about 70%...knives about 17%

....Germany, France, UK, Japan, etc etc have many times lower murder rates with gun ban/gun control = plain and simple

Personally I want any fight for my or my wife's safety to be so far in my favor that the asshole threatening me would be an idiot to try.
