I bought my first cowboy revolver, a Heritage Arms Rough Rider model SASS with a 6.5 inch. barrel. It came with a .22lr and a .22mag cylinder, holster, trigger lock and wooden storage box for $170 new. It also has a hammer block safety.

I really didn't expect much in the way of accuracy, I just wanted something to practice with in .22lr.

Color me surprised when my shot groups look like this at 30 feet.

(Sorry about the fuzzy pic, cell cam sucks)

I highly recommend this weapon as a practice revolver. The only downside is it does not have a swing out cylinder and of course, being a SA model, you must span the hammer manually before firing.

Still, for the money, you'll be hard pressed to do better. Plus it is manufactured in Miami, FL so you're buying American.

That's a great price. I have a Ruger just like it that's put a lot of feral hogs in our freezer through the years.
My wife shoots it a lot before she has to re-qualify each year on her.38
It's fun to shoot as it won't cost an arm and a leg for ammo.

Sorry about the poor quality...my Wife has the good camera.

Pictured is the wooden box it came it, trigger lock, .22 magnum cylinder and Rough Rider .22 LR sidearm.

It also came with a black holster.
