Super fun super easy! As long as you are gambling with money you can afford to lose it sure makes the games more interesting. FWIW here is a summary of my experience so far.

1, If you sign up with a betting site that offers a big signup bonus make sure they don't have a big "play through" clause. That means you have to make a boat load of bets within a short period of time else they will take all your bonus money and winnings. Been there done that!

2. Stay away from 3 or more leg parlays. You will lose all of your money for sure if you bet those consistently.

3. As for sports this was my experience your results may vary. Football was about 50-50 for me. NBA basketball just about wiped me out. March Madness brought me back to even. Baseball is the ticket! I am winning 2/3rds of my bets in baseball.

Good luck. -Mike

I hit a trifecta the first time I ever placed a bet on one. Never bet one since. That is basically the same thing as a parlay. The odds are never in your favor.

I used to bet on the ponies just for shitz and giggles. I never really expected to win anything so I usually placed the smallest wagers I could. I just liked sitting out at the races, smoking cigars and chatting up random people.

I've been wondering about those online casinos.
I'd like to play some, but I don't know anything about them, and I don't know anyone thats ever used them.

I'd like to play online lotto, scratch offs, and Keno. I played Keno in Vegas, and I liked it.

You were smart to not get into betting on the horses. My Dad just about took us down the tubes betting on horses. There are very very few people who make money doing that.

Just to be clear I'm talking about online sports betting specifically. There are lots of online casinos also that offer typical casino games like blackjack, poker, slots etc. I do not recommend you go there. Every game is mathematically geared toward the casino having an advantage. You will lose for sure.

They are supposed to building a casino near here but at the rate they are going, I will be dead before it is done. It has gotten the COVID slowwalk I guess. I might go there for shows if it ever gets opened, but you will never see me betting on the floor. That said, someone told me that a lot of the casino tables are becoming tied into online systems so you may be playing against someone in Cherokee NC or wherever.

I know that Texas hold em poker is very popular to play online against other real players. I don't like table games but if I were to do one, that would be it. If you have the mind and the moxy for it, you can be successful at it since you aren't just playing against a casino with a built in mathematical advantage.

I can do okay at poker as long as I can keep my spite in check. If I get spiteful, I'll go all in on a pair of 2's LOL. It is also the reason I almost never go to live auctions. If someone decides they are going to run up the price on something I bid on, then my ass will bid triple what it is worth just out of pure spite. It is one of my dad's unsavory traits that inherited. I am supra rational until that spite kicks in. Needless to say, ebay never sees my IP address show up on their site.
