The Constitution is what it is, and has worked for centuries. Hillary lost, that's reality, and won't change. And no, I don't believe you would be complaining about the EC if Hillary won and Trump won the popular vote.

Well, I'd point out it was still a stupid system.... The thing is, Hillary, and George W. Bush, weren't crazy people who were unfit for office. The main reason why the EC has been TOLERATED for centuries is because

1) The guy who won the popular vote usually won the EC, except for 5 cases.

2) Both parties had the sense to nominate people who were actually fit for the job. You might not like George W. Bush but he clearly wasn't a crazy person.

Trump has managed to make Obama look humble, Bush look smart and Bill Clinton look ethical.

The reason electoral college exist is obvious, small states do not want to fuck themselves. Illegals many times in desperation have to steal identities to work, avoid taxes, or take to illegal professions and gangs that are earning under the table cash, hence the high percentage drug dealers and gangsta activity in the youth. Who is most affected by this? The legal Latin communities, in many more ways not listed like Jobs taken from, creating lower pay wages for them, putting their kids at risk with drugs and gangs and rising crime rates thus higher protective services costs (alarms, bars on windows and doors higher car & home insurance, & offset higher community conveniences costs).

Dems make the huge mistake assuming Latin communities will support their look the other way immigration stance, however many are feeling the affects want tighter more sensible solutions which is why the surprising support by the communities for Trump and his policies. Why should we care what the small states want? The small states are already sucking off the big ones where the economic activity is happening.

The reason the EC exists is because it doesn't fuck up often enough to merit the trouble of changing it. Now it clearly has. Trump is unfit for office, it is clear to even Republicans that he is... and the people pretty clearly rejected him.

I worked at a company where they used undocumented laborers to do the scrub work of packing and cleaning the plant. They worked hard, they showed up, and they didn't cause any problems. Then the company got bought out by a bigger company that insisted they get rid of them. Well, the only people the Temp Agency could find that wanted to work for that pay scale and do that kind of work were some scary-ass meth heads, but they were white!!! They also scared the crap out of the office ladies.

In 2008, I had an underwater mortgage, a busted 401K and had a salary decrease of 20%.

By 2016, my salary had increased 50%, I was able to pay off most of my major debts, I was able to start my own business.

If Obama could have run for a third term, he'd have easily beaten Trump.
