That family gets $12,600 in a standard deduction and $16,000 for four exemptions. The taxable income is $19,499 ($48,099 income minus $28,600 for deduction/exemptions) for which the tax is $1,999. When the child tax credit of $2,000 is applied, the tax liability is ZERO.

when Obama was running the first time i heard him say in a town hall type of setting at least 3 times, that....."in my administration,any retired person whose retirement income is under $50,000,will not be paying any federal taxes on it"....and thats just for retired people....here we are 8 years later,where is that promise?....
