He taught us to love....but he never said we shouldn't defend ourselves or others. Simon Peter was defending Jesus because he knew they were going to take Jesus away. Jesus stopped him before he did any more damage to the servant!

Jesus knew he was going to be killed, and Simon Peter knew and didn't want them taking Jesus. They took him to be tried for his preaching and they called it blasphemy. But Jesus stopped Peter because He knew there was no stopping what was going to happen.

And yes, i believe everyone has a right to defense. That's not the problem....
How is killing Christians because they don't believe as you do defense?

I've been to Dearborn/Detroit area quite often, mostly for my job - it's not a place i just want to go hang around! And it's darn scary over there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When it comes to driving through those empty streets, and the run down neighborhoods, yes i guess i'm a sissy! I've gotten lost in some of those areas.....and all i would see are blacks huddling in corners and walking the streets. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not prejiduce in the least, but i'm not stupid either. A lone white woman sometimes doesn't make it through those areas!!

Depends, Dearborn heights seems friendly to me, I wouldn't live there because its too crowded for my taste, but I feel safe there. Getting lost would be between Detroit and Dearborn where the empty places are.

There aren't much Christians killed for being Christian, people killed in wars can't be classified as that. Secret service agents aren't killed for being Christians, etc. Now in other conflicts, we know little too much to understand what's really happening. Such as some African countries, Muslims and Christians both kill each other but it's never reported when Christians do it in the US media. And the Serbs killed Muslims for being Muslims, they committed atrocities, so what you say about that? If you say well they aren't christians then what do you expect me to say? Muslims don't hate christians, most radical groups dislike Westerners because of their reasons to justify it. As for Muslims and Christians they get along fine in Iraq for example, Syria, etc. Lots of my Arabic friends are Christian, Christian orthodox, roman orthodox, Chaldean, etc. And they all came from outside, and most of their friends are Muslim back home. I spoke to one Chaldean and we talked of the Iraq war, he said America destroyed Iraq and he also said the car bombing was an issue, and the car bombing attacks kill mostly Muslims. So you really don't know, you live in America, what you see on the Internet means nothing, it's only news about violence in the Middle East but if you go yourself you will notice the majority of the populations get along and are normal people. But the media seems like a government agenda so I would never trust anything in the media, especially when you know what they say is a flat out lie.
