Most Red States Take More Money From Washington Than They Put In

Mother Jones?...Are you fucking kidding me?
I think that peyote you're smoking has kicked in.
Where the money goes is irrelevant.
It is the spending in and of itself that is the problem.
Nice try though. Sure..:lame2:

Alabama, at $2.03, is pretty embarrassing, especially given the horrific state of the roads here and the glacial pace of repair.

That's why Red States are our welfare states leeching off of other Americans

Even as Republicans gripe about deficit spending, their states get 30 cents more federal spending per tax dollar than their Democratic neighbors.

All states take more from the government than they pay to it, that is why we run a deficit.

Then why don't YOU provide us with your version of the truth - complete with maps and credible source links.

The "reality" that is and the "reality" that Republicans imagine is often at odds. It's why they insist on a "conservative" slant.

Everybody takes in as much federal money as the fools in Washington are willing to give them. The problem is that democrats think confiscating taxpayer money and redistributing it is the wave of the future. Republicans want to streamline the bloated monster that is dedicated to getting bigger and bigger until it eats up all the money in the private sector and we end up like a 3rd world Greece stain.

Looks like Alabama went from #7 most parasitic state in 05 to #6 in 10 but like always we can brag and say "At least we're not Mississippi".

Actually, according to the article, over a dozen states take in less than they pay in taxes. The deficit would relate to the average, not the minimum payment to states, except that some government funds aren't spent on any states (eg, foreign aid).

The reason most red states get more money form the federal government then they pay is because red states economies are so much shitter due to the implementation of conservative policies

One would think that all these 'Conservatives' would get off their dead asses, shovel the beer cans away from their single wide doors, and get a job. After all, they are always the ones yapping about lazy liberals. I think that they resent the fact that we don't support them in the way that they think that we should.

Now Lady, don't confuse these people with facts.

Try this on for size, and try using more than one brain cell at a time.

Social Security money is by far the largest portion of the money the Feds send out.

Every blue state that pays in more than it gets is in the snow belt, except California, which has one of the highest cost of living in the country.

Retirees flock to states with better climates and lower costs of living.

End thread.

No bigotry here, right rocks? Find Barney Frank who is on his honeymoon with his new husband and ask him why his committee which had oversight responsibility for Fannie Mae told Americans that Fannie was doing fine when it was on the verge of collapse. Every state has to take money from the federal government whether or not the states have a high population of single wide trailers that elitist lefties like rocks love to make fun of. It's a fact of life that every state has to get what it can from the big pig in Washington. It's too bad that democrats seem to have no inclination to trim the fat that is corrupting their party.
