Personally, i feel the VA disaster was Obama's biggest disgrace as President. Thank you President Trump.

President Trump delivered comments before a group of veterans and signed into law, the VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act. This bill is intended to make it easier for the Department of Veterans Affairs to fire and take disciplinary measures against employees for misconduct. The act also offers protection to federal employees who report any wrongdoings in their departments.

More proof that he really appears to be our first REAL president we have had since JFK that wants to serve the people instead of wall street, washington and the bankers. he also hired someone high up in his cabinet that is pro choice.Did Bush or Obama ever do that?

Persistence finally paying off. There have been people trying to get that whistle blowers protection act through for years. I hope now they will put bigger teeth into some of the laws that criminals have been skirting.

You're kidding, right?
He hired everybody from Goldman Sachs except Goldman and Sachs:

Stephen K. Bannon, chief strategist to the president and a former Goldman banker
Gary D. Cohn, director of the National Economic Council and Goldman Sachs president
Steven T. Mnuchin, Treasury secretary and Goldman partner
James Donovan, nominee for deputy Treasury secretary and Goldman partner
Dina Powell, deputy national security adviser for strategy and longtime Goldman executive
The People From ‘Government Sachs’

Who in Trump's cabinet is pro choice?

You fucking idiots are so stupid it's scary.

Yeah that, capping military pay, and huge VA funding cuts show just how committed Trump is to our soldiers

Hahahahaha.....Is THAT what he did? He doesn't even UNDERSTAND the power levers in D.C., didn't have a clue. His lawyers have spent months telling him to STFU and stay off Twitter. But he's such a juvenile smart-ass idiot, all he's done is hang himself. Nobody even had to hand him the rope, he brought it with him.

Vets? Aren't they just those deplorable people who work in the military, secret service, etc., because they aren't part of the elite upper class? Hillary will tell you, don't worry about Vets. Just use them like toilet paper and throw them away. They are just good enough to hold the door for you. Maybe drive you around. Let them rot in a hospital with parts of their body blown off fighting your war. Democrats have no use for Vets. Now illegal Mexicans--- that is a much more valuable voting block!

I used to know one of the guys who actually guarded Al Gore and was on a plane with his family and Al Gore's kid was a total brat. I forget the details, but the guy I knew, a distinguished Vet, finally said something to the kid to shut him up and he went crying to daddy and Al Gore fired him.

It was Al Gore who once told his kid pointing to one of the Secret Service: You want to grow up and get a good education and job, junior, or you will end up like one of these guys.

It would be a cold day in Hell before a democrat ever fixed any of the massive problems with the VA. And someone asked just what do we need Republicans for? I'd like to send that person to Nam and leave him in the jungle. Thank you President Trump. Promises made. Promises kept.

So why wasn't Hillary elected? Didn't people know she understood the power levers of D.C.?

And he had to fight the Dimbocraps to get the law through Congress. They tried to keep the process by which scumbag VA employees kept their jobs - something supported by the public service unions.

And protecting whistle-blowers is huge. It puts the worthless, stealing VA jerks on the line.

Thank you, Mister President, for keeping another campaign promise.

Clearly more committed than Obama was. The VA was a sad disaster on his watch.

Yeah, you're a nutjob. So sad. :cuckoo:

He had already signed to extend the Va Choice Program.

Trump Signs Bill to Extend Veterans Choice Program | Military.com

Flanked by veterans at an Oval Office ceremony, the president signed the bill to extend the Choice program, which was to expire on Aug. 7, and allow the expenditure of the remaining $950 million in the program.

The Choice Card program allowed vets facing lengthy wait times at Veterans Administration facilities or living more than 40 miles from the nearest VA to seek care in the private sector. Those already in the program will not need to re-apply under the bill signed by Trump, VA officials said.

The new bill -- the Veterans Choice Improvement Act -- addressed a major complaint of veterans service organizations by directing the VA to cover co-pays and deductibles directly for private care rather than reimbursing veterans for paying up front.

Smart move. I'm really happy to see Trump aggressively addressing the sad VA nightmare.

Yeah it was flooded wih casualties from wars started and maintained for Republican propaganda purposes. They did the best with what they had, and now they'll have to do their best with less under Dump.

You're predictably and conveniently ignoring the 8 year VA debacle on Obama's watch. It's his biggest disgrace as President. Good on Trump for addressing the awful mess.

Trump's Budget Calls For Cuts To VA Benefits As Tradeoff For Extending Choice Program

They have opted to allow the Choice program to continue allowing private medical treatment to veterans. He has proposed continuing financing for this program pretty much throughout his Presidency. So those who were dying to go see a doctor can get treatment elsewhere.

The Disability portion........I'm not so sold on.............taking away disability payments when they start getting Social Security Benefits..............Perhaps the better avenue would be prorated for this side.

The VA still has holes in it............but the Choice Program was a correct move under Obama and a Correct one today. Veterans dying while waiting to see a doctor must NOT BE ALLOWED AGAIN.

Yeah he kinda ignores how this would NEVER have happened under mass murderer Hellery. :rolleyes:I am not sold by any means that Trump may be our first REAL president since JFK who follows the constitution and serves the people instead of the bankers and war mongrels pulling their strings, but come on,this is an action that would have NEVER come about under her watch. :rolleyes:The clintons and Bushs were involved in smuggling drugs into Mena arkansas in the 80's,their criminals and mass murderers who started wars in other countires as did Obama as well. this is a small step, nothing major but he is on the right track at least. give him a chance.jesus christ.

Obama when he first got elected, you could tell right off the bat he was no different than asshole Bush.

When he first got sworn in,it was obvious from the very get go he was no different than Bushwacker. He lied saying he would reverse the patriot act and Bushs policys which has taken away all of our rights as human beings away from us and has burned the constitution in the process. What does Obama do once he is sworn in? He not only continues all of Bushs policys,he EXPANDS them AND the patriot act. He never once did anything that protected whistleblowers.

Will Trump be the first since kennedy to try and get rid of the fed and the CIA which is the reason not only our country is in the mess that it is but the whole world as well? we will have to see but at least his actions right now Unlike Bush or Obama when they got in seem to be on the right track for the first 6 months.

people dont get it that its a slow process, that it takes time,it cant happen overnight. IF he has not taken any steps by the end of his first term to end the fed and the CIA by then, okay THEN,I will admit I had false hope that he was any different than all our mass murdering criminal presidents we have had since LBJ here to serve the bankers instead of the people but until it comes close to his first term and he keeps taking positive steps like this one, give the guy a fucking chance already.

Its not like it was with Trump so far as it was in the case with Bush and Obama where in their first 6 months you KNEW they were both lying motherfuckers who were evil and corrupt there just to serve their masters who pull their strings.

This to me seems to show that Trump really does have good intentions and and really does want to do the right thing which cannot be said for the the last several presidents we have had.
