Mitt Romney Fans: Can you justify this?

Did you even READ Gary's profile?

Oh wait...Rush Limbaugh already picked your guy for you and gave you talking points against true blue people.

the true blue people can't win.
Yeah, just like the 2004 political crystal balls couldn't indicate an Obama win in 2008 because he was a political amateur, in his early 40's, and a black man.

Keep using that same line...I can already smell the Barack Obama 400+ electoral landslide already.

Newsflash: Obama's not black.

and if you run that idiot, obama will win 500 electoral votes.

Run Romney or Palin, ESPECIALLY Palin, Obama will win in a Reagan/Mondale style victory.

And who said he wasn't black? You speak on behalf of who is and isn't black?

Wow!

I don't want Palin, either.

That makes 2 of us.

Seriously, though, I know it may be a bit of youthful optimism, but nobody thought Obama would be a serious contender in 2008. Maybe he'd give a few big speeches at some "So and So for 2008!" rallies and then prime himself for '12 or '16, but not to actually even TRY to run for Pres in '08, not even get picked as a Veep. But here he is, in the Oval Office, as The Decider.

On the "opposite" (*chuckle*) the "paleo" and "libertarian" movements are starting to creep into the party, very slowly I admit, but surely. Don't you think it's time to run somebody DIFFERENT? The GOP says they want "change" too, something different, but we end up with more of the same, with an alternative viewpoint or 2 at the most.

I'd say if Obama gets re-elected in '12, the GOP will be infiltrated with the eeevvvilll paleos/llibertarians by '16, kinda like the Dems got an influx of the quasi-socialists in the party since the past 15 or so years.

not saying it doesn't sound good. I just really want Obama to lose. didn't he upstage John Kerry at the dem convention?

You think *I* want Obama to be re-elected? I didn't want him to be elected in the FIRST place!

But there's also a classic idiom..."No Pain; No Gain."

And we learn from the failures of big government policy too.

And I think ANYONE can upstage John Kerry, heh.

Mitt is the perfect Republican candidate.

White, male, and dumb as a box of rocks.

Chris, you could have a point if your Great Black hope didn't have Cap and Trade hanging around his neck, along with his health care plan and the taxing healthcare that he shamed McCain for and oh let us not forget his stimulus! LOL
:ahole-1:
Chris, both your eye's are black, don't make it any worse on yourself.

As for Mitt's great MA experiment, consider it lesson learned, now he is ready to move on without repeating that mistake!

How's that? :eusa_whistle:

Mitt Romney brough my state's (MA) health plan into being right before he left office.

This plan requires all MA citizens to have health insurance or pay a tax penalty, also known as a fine, every year for not having coverage.

The plan also provides health care to low income people.

His plan has also gotten my state over 2billion dollars in debt (you could argue that is devaul patrick's fault since he took over right after romney instituted the plan).

Just curious as I know many conservatives like romney and are against universal health coverage.

SO how do you reconcile these differences?

Romney supporters you really need to nail this one down if you want him to run in 2012 without getting slammed by his opponents on the right.

Can I use Ann Coulter-style hyperbole? Being governor of Massachusetts is like being governor of North Korea. You get the idea.

Romney is the BEST chance we have.
Best chance we have for what?

to beat Obama.

Sorry, but if that slimeball decides to run, the health care thing WILL be used against him...and rightly so.

My text message to spring 2011: Hammer that issue like you'd hammer a nail!

We've been complacent for too long.

I can't believe I'm using Obama at ALL, but he said in his Presidential Exploratory Committee video back in the winter of '07: "The most meaningful change begins at the grass roots."

It's like DUH! common sense, but it's still a true statement.

The Obamanoids started from the bottom...

And look...the quasi-socialists have everything they could politically desire.

Why can't we "organize" and share our political "Truths" with others?

Oh wait...McCain isn't as evil as the other guy...I'll just bend over and vote for the lesser!

Reprehensible.

then you'll get the greater of two evils.
I'll be bleeding from the ass no matter which of those two get elected.

What we need is a real conservative to run.

I agree. but what if we don't get one?
Then now is the time to start letting those in power know that we are not going to settle anymore.

Let them come to understand that if they wish to continue to offer up watered down candidates whose character, ethics and ideology is based upon the winds of 'polls'; that we will not only ensure that they continue to lose power that we will actively work to remove THEM from power.

Politicians cannot be or have anything without us.
