2. Summer before that heat waves killed hundreds of old people who did not have AC in their fetid apartments.

France sucks, and they are allies of the US only on paper. They have done nothing but attempt to subvert our every effort in the Middle East in recent years.

They were NOT "right" about Iraq. France didn't want anyone messing up their under-the-table deals for oil with Saddam that were supposed to kick in when and if France got UN sanctions against Iraq lifted.
