might be nice, but February’s intense heat is a very bad sign

LOL
AGW was so 2014. They quit saying that when they finally gave up trying to prove it. Now, they use "climate change". You know what I mean.. raping the meaning of another term because they are failures.
Kinda like you.
Gee, another dumb fuck that cannot see the obvious. Global warming leads to climate change. Room temperature IQ's just cannot get facts straight.

this is a ticking time bomb for the right and alt-right AGW deniers......just like last summer and summer before that, temps will keep rising until that moron Inhofe is driven out of town......unless he falls into a fracking quake first....

The United States hits record high temps, as a climate change denier takes the reigns at the EPA.

Meteorologists expect to see dozens of heat records broken this week, as an extended stretch of uncommonly warm weather continues across much of the United States.

Also this week, Scott Pruitt took the helm at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Pruitt, who has deep ties to the fossil fuel industry, has described climate science as a “religious belief” and said he expects to scrap the Clean Power Plan, an EPA initiative to limit carbon pollution from power plants.

Scientists have found that carbon pollution is warming the planet, producing more severe weather, including more extreme heat. February’s spate of record-high temperatures offers the most recent example of how this process plays out.

It might feel good, but February’s intense heat is a very bad sign

OMG.... THE ICE IS MELTING! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIEEEEE!
God, you get increasingly stupid every day. Yes, as the ice melts, there are lot of people going to die. As nations like Bangladesh flood, the refugees will try to go to surrounding nations, which do not want them, and many of them will be killed.

LOL... Good! Less mouths to feed with limited resources.

Look, doofus... let me explain something to you here... The Earth goes through cycles (Milankovitch cycles) where our axis rotation varies from an extreme to a minimum. At it's minimum variation, along with variations in our planetary rotation around the sun, the planet may experience an Ice Age. At present, we are about 1,800 years away from being half-way in a Milankovitch cycle moving toward a minimum. If the models are correct, we will start experiencing shorter and milder summers in about 1,800 years. They will gradually get shorter and milder for the next 10,000 years and we'll probably experience another Ice Age.

When an Ice Age happens, most of the planet will be covered in ice or permafrost. Once the Milankovitch cycle subsides we will begin to experience warmer and longer summers and here is a fascinating detail that you might not be aware of..; the ice will melt. It will continue to melt until the next Milankovitch cycle returns us to another minimum and we have another Ice Age. Nothing we can do will change any of this, it's the cycle of our planet and it has been happening for billions of years.

So yes... Ice is in fact melting. It has to melt unless we're about to experience another Ice Age. If ice never melted, we would be an ice world... a frozen planet in perpetuality. So, thank God ice is melting! Most life forms don't fare well during Ice Ages. If anyone is around in 11,800 AD, they are probably going to die.

Now save yourself the time and trouble to post all your debunked junk science because I've already seen it about a billion times. You're not talking to some newbie who just fell off the turnip truck. I've heard this same bullshit for more than 20 years and it's total nonsense. It's a Socialist attempt to shake down Capitalists and that's all it is.

CO2 levels are actually about 200ppm below what is optimal for plant growth. That's a fact of biology and climatologists simply ignore it because they're not botanists and they don't get any federal funding for recognizing science that doesn't support their narrative. But it is the truth and all you have to do to confirm it is go by any greenhouse and see them pumping CO2 in to their plants to get them to grow better. Nature doesn't make mistakes. If plants grow optimally at 600ppm, that's how nature intended them to grow.

As for your unfounded fears of rising oceans which are going to wipe out Bangladesh... let me explain to your illiterate ass what will happen LONG BEFORE that occurs... Such an increase in the volume of cold water from the melting ice in the ocean would totally destroy the ocean convection system. This would mean an end to all sea life as we know it. So.... LONG BEFORE we have to worry about the residents of Bangladesh, we are going to have to be concerned with what to do about stagnant oceans where nothing can live.

The good news is, in spite of your propaganda, we're not actually losing much ice if any. It's decreasing at one pole and increasing at the other. The overall plus/minus varies from year to year but again... unless we are heading into another Ice Age, ice is going to melt... it's to be expected because that's nature happening.

But now... if your heart is really bleeding profusely over carbon dioxide in the atmosphere... the best thing YOU can do about that is plant some trees. Trees LOVE carbon dioxide and they convert it to oxygen... you don't have a problem with oxygen, do you? So get off your ass and stop spewing this silly nonsense on the internet and go plant some fucking trees!

I hate to tell you people this but the earth being a couple degrees warmer will not be the biblical apocalypse you hope it will be

Your crackpot denier cult myths, delusions, misinformation, and lies were pretty much already debunked in post #17, Mr Bonkers. You really have no idea what you are talking about. Are you a paid troll or just really retarded and very gullible?

In the real world.....

Land Ice
NASA
Data from NASA's GRACE satellites show that the land ice sheets in both Antarctica and Greenland are losing mass. The continent of Antarctica has been losing about 118 gigatonnes of ice per year since 2002, while the Greenland ice sheet has been losing an estimated 281 gigatonnes per year. What a stupid person you are. Did all life die out in the oceans during the Younger Dryas? For the ocean circulation system in the Atlantic shut down for a thousand years during that episode.

You continually flap yap here, Boss, but never present any sites from peer reviewed journals to support your rants and drivel. Could that be because there are none?

Ocean circulation did not shut down. It slowed down.

A more northerly routing of meltwater has a greater impact on the salinity and density of the surface ocean in the North Atlantic, which can cause a slowing of the ocean's thermohaline circulation and climate changes around the world. Multiple proxies for the thermohaline circulation indicate that such changes occurred during the Younger Dryas (McManus et al. 2004(link is external); Praetorius et al. 2008(link is external); Lynch-Stieglitz et al. 2011(link is external)). Eventually, as the meltwater flux abated, the thermohaline circulation strengthened again and climate recovered.

You are still full of shit and moronic anti-science nonsense, Mr. Bonkers....as proven in posts #17 and 25.

I already told you to save yourself the trouble of posting your cut-n-paste propaganda, I've seen it all before about a bazillion times. We all know that you are well-armed with pre-packaged information to flood any conversation with and that's because billions of dollars have been spent to construct this sham.

In post #23, I explained what happens to ice in-between ice ages... it fucking melts. That's what ice does. While you are losing mass at one pole, you are gaining mass at the other and you fail to mention that because you're a dishonest player. And yes, over time we are losing more than we're gaining globally, but again... ice melts. That's what ice does in-between ice ages. It's a good thing it does because it prevents us from being locked in an ice world.

OMG.... Another left wing nut bag that doesn't take the time to look at previous post El Nino climate behaviors... And then screams at the top of his lungs "were all gonna die"...

lol........well Boss came in here and in a post or two started to dominate.:rock:

Nobody is complaining about the nice February weather except the climate OCD's who are miserable no matter what the temperature is outside. Ghey :gay:

Look..........its 2017. In the "real world" nobody gives a fuck about global warming. People who vote couldn't have it lower in the priority list.....every poll makes it blatantly clear.:oops-28: Did global warming come up in the latest presidential debates. Nope........because nobody cares. Does the US Congress care? Nope........no significant legislation in over 10 years........because nobody is caring.:oops-28: Are fossil fuels still dominating after 20+ years of k00k bomb throwing about climate change? Yep.........and will for decades btw!!:oops-28:

Indeed......in the "real world"..........the consensus science isn't mattering for dick.:popcorn:The climate OCD's cant come up with a single link showing us where the science is mattering in the real world ( anywhere beyond the religion :spinner: )

How incredibly stupid and ignorant! Ice doesn't melt unless the temperature of its surroundings (air, water) rises first and forces it to melt. The Earth's ice doesn't continuously melt between Ice Ages, nutball. For several centuries prior to 1850, ice and glaciers were growing, not shrinking. The polar ice caps were fairly stable for the last five thousand years....until human caused global warming began raising the global temperatures and melting the ice, a process that has accelerated in the last 50 years.

The key word in the melting ice is "continuous". Even at the extremes of glaciation, the Earth still passes through seasons.

As for evidence, try "The Physical Science Basis" by IPCC Working Group I at www.ipcc.ch

Tell me, what is the ideal temperature for life on planet earth? And do describe how you come to the conclusion as there is nearly a 100 degree spread on any given day...

why do temperatures change daily then?
