The point is that the drug prohibition has not prohibited a damn thing. Those on the list as "prohibited" are available on street corners, in schools, in prisons and everywhere else.

All it means is that the production and distribution of those drugs on the list are controlled by the criminal element, just as we saw with alcohol in the last century.

Are you claiming that is a rational or intelligent or successful policy, to have the criminal element control drugs? That's the logical conclusion of what you're advocating here, like it or not.

It's too late now, the horse is out of the barn and running freely. Fentanyl was first produced in Belgium in 1960. It's no surprise the CIA has been in the dope business since the CIA was created. Now the Mexican cartels and the CCP. They're not dummies, just taking advantage of an opportunity.
