Here's an animated gif of some meteors I caught one night. I set my camera on a tripod and aimed it to the Northeast, put the ISO at 800 and the exposure time at 30 sec. Then I selected "bulb" on my shutter remote which locks the switch closed, which meant the camera was taking a continuous stream of 30 sec exposures.

This is an animation of the 3 meteors I captured in just over an hour:

That is a pretty neat .gif I may have to attempt the same thing. I bet the results would be fantastic in an area without so much light pollution.

I'd love to see it. The next time things align correctly I'm going to get some better shots using a light pollution filter, different ISO settings, and by building a dark frame for post processing.
