Is anybody really surprised the IRS did not follow the tradition of annual audits of the prez's tax returns while Don was in office?

Only one Trump tax return as president got mandatory IRS audit, report says

Or that the one audit that was initiated, but never finished, only began in 2019 when the chairman of the Ways and Means committee, Rep. Richie Neal, requested Don's tax returns. No one could have actually believed Trump's hand picked IRS commissioner would follow protocol, could they? Not this guy..........

IRS chief faces questions over audits of Trump foes

Charles Rettig was a tax attorney in Beverly Hills, Calif., when Trump put him in charge of the agency, which employs about 71,000 full-time staffers. He had defended a billionaire the IRS accused of hiding money in offshore accounts, a venture capitalist the agency alleged used sham accounting to shelter assets, and the heirs of a millionaire defense contractor who sought to fend off inheritance taxes.

That was one of the many presents placed under the Christmas tree of the former Grifter-in-Chief this week. I'm sure Individual 1 is thrilled to know his promise to reveal his taxes will be fulfilled before Christmas Day. Joy to the world!
It was a week that started with the 1/6 committee's final meeting, accompanied by the release of the executive summary of their report, as well as multiple criminal referrals to the DoJ. How very thoughtful of them. And how nicely wrapped they were.
That was just a stocking stuffer compared to what comes today. The voluminous full report full of tantalizing interviews, damning documents, and all sorts of details for us to pour over. It will be the gift that keeps on giving for weeks. One that Jack Smith will enjoy too so all the merrier.

I have no doubt Don's heart is bursting over all the attention being paid to him. No prez in history has been bestowed with such lavish gifts. And as if these were not enough, he is likely to be the recipient of more gifts in 2023 from various legal entities around the country. 'Tis the season.

Wow. you really are a tool.

There are field audits, mandatory audits and red flag audits.

If you truly think the most hated man (in your eyes) was not a subject of a field audit or a red flag audit, then you are truly not worthy of driving a car, voting or buying bubble gum without a helmet on.

Guess there must have been another Twitter dump last night, the Reich is in a panic trying to distract again.

It has been the IRS's practice to audit the prez's taxes every year since 1979. That didn't happen. If you feel the need to deflect from that fact by utilizing various methods of denial, so be it.

Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, in a statement with the report said, “We anticipated the IRS would expand the mandatory audit program to account for the complex nature of the former president’s financial situation yet found no evidence of that.”

“This is a major failure of the IRS under the prior administration, and certainly not what we had hoped to find,” Neal said.

Which present will he open first?

Besides, Twitter files #8 dropped and show that the FBI paid Twitter to post propaganda to further the agenda of the democrat party.

I'm pretty sure that's a felony - or several.

And you REALLY need to blow smoke to distract from this.

I can't think of a better use of House Repub's investigatory authority than to find out why The King of Debt's tax returns were not audited by the IRS.

The IRS has been around since 1862. They never audited previous presidents. Why are such a voyeur that you need to know what people are doing? Why? You don't need to answer because you're just another liberal hack. A dime a dozen.

Really? Are you claiming Trump was able to control the IRS?

Wow.

Wow.
Isn't that the same sort of accusation conservatives made about Obama over the disproven IRS "scandal?"

The report found that when Trump was in the White House, the IRS failed to designate for mandatory audit Trump’s tax return for 2015, when he was running for president, and then again for the returns filed for the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 tax years.

Prove it.

Only one of Donald Trump’s annual federal income tax returns began being audited by the IRS when he served as president, despite the agency having a policy dating to 1977 of conducting mandatory tax examinations of sitting presidents, a House committee said in a new report Tuesday evening.

We have no idea how proven it is because only a few per cent of the modern media ought the issue up. Joe Scarborough killed a woman as a conservative and is now a Prog left of left that once in a while will throw a crumb to his Republican etchings. Compromised or just another shill who attained power.

If I didn't know better I'd say this sounds like a threat.

House Ways and Means Committee ranking member Kevin Brady (R-Texas) warned Tuesday that Democrats’ potential decision to release former President Trump’s tax returns could set a precedent for lawmakers making public those of Supreme Court justices.

Speaking moments before the committee went into closed session on Tuesday to discuss the documents — protected by a rule under which Democrats were able to obtain Trump’s tax records from the Treasury Department — Brady said a potential decision to release a private citizen’s returns would be a “dangerous” political weapon.

I for one would love to see the Thomas' tax returns.

Prove it.
No one is in jail for it. And I have spent 6 years now on total accusations on Trump with the total weight of the swamp trying to destroy him. I have seen riots in which reporters spouted it is peaceful and yet billions of dollars of businesses were destroyed, and people were maimed and injured. endless commercials on racism, antisemitism and others are sickening. Evil is evil no matter who or what the background of any ethnic or cultural group.

You mean the disproven IRS scandal that the IRS admitted to?
Yes.
