Is anybody really surprised the IRS did not follow the tradition of annual audits of the prez's tax returns while Don was in office?
Or that the one audit that was initiated, but never finished, only began in 2019 when the chairman of the Ways and Means committee, Rep. Richie Neal, requested Don's tax returns. No one could have actually believed Trump's hand picked IRS commissioner would follow protocol, could they? Not this guy..........
IRS chief faces questions over audits of Trump foes
Charles Rettig was a tax attorney in Beverly Hills, Calif., when Trump put him in charge of the agency, which employs about 71,000 full-time staffers. He had defended a billionaire the IRS accused of hiding money in offshore accounts, a venture capitalist the agency alleged used sham accounting to shelter assets, and the heirs of a millionaire defense contractor who sought to fend off inheritance taxes.

That was one of the many presents placed under the Christmas tree of the former Grifter-in-Chief this week. I'm sure Individual 1 is thrilled to know his promise to reveal his taxes will be fulfilled before Christmas Day. Joy to the world!
It was a week that started with the 1/6 committee's final meeting, accompanied by the release of the executive summary of their report, as well as multiple criminal referrals to the DoJ. How very thoughtful of them. And how nicely wrapped they were.
That was just a stocking stuffer compared to what comes today. The voluminous full report full of tantalizing interviews, damning documents, and all sorts of details for us to pour over. It will be the gift that keeps on giving for weeks. One that Jack Smith will enjoy too so all the merrier.
I have no doubt Don's heart is bursting over all the attention being paid to him. No prez in history has been bestowed with such lavish gifts. And as if these were not enough, he is likely to be the recipient of more gifts in 2023 from various legal entities around the country. 'Tis the season.
