Government won't retry Menendez on corruption charges

So I guess New Jersey can be very proud...of their representation in Congress.

"Government prosecutors have decided not to retry New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez on corruption charges, after a judge threw out some of the counts last week.
Prosecutors filed the motion with the court on Wednesday.
The first trial of Menendez and Florida eye doctor Salomon Melgen ended in a hung jury last November.
Menendez was charged with trading his political influence for gifts and campaign donations from Melgen.
Last week the judge threw out the bribery counts related to Melgen's campaign donations."

Great! Now it will be a free-for-all for all members of Congress.

Doesn't mean he was innocent, just that they couldn't prove guilt in a court of law. Same with OJ, Hillary, and on and on. Which is the way it should be, innocent until proven guilty. I dunno the facts in the Menendez case, but a hung jury means somebody thought he was guilty and others didn't. The question is, did politics play a role in the minds of those who made their decision one way or another? These days, probably. Justice isn't blind any more, if it ever really was.

Democrats are never guilty. The fix was in.

On another note. He was set up by Obama for crossing him about something.
I can't remember what it was though
