Meg Whitman: Hypocrisy and Karma

Well, that is odd, because if she continued paying her under a false SS# she would have gotten a yearly letter.

I still don't understand why Whitman didn't turn her over to ICE.

They are that efficient over there in the SS dept?...have you ever dealt with an agency or seen one at work performing background checks, SS reviews and verifications?

yes I see, so let me ask you then, why isn't allred defending her against ICE? Where are they?

R U seriously asking that? I can see it now..."evil white rich bitch calls ICE in lowly housekeeper....sent back home no money to buy milk for the kids etc etc etc..."...

why didn't the agency and why don't you ask them that? They had the most to lose....
I have gotten letters about employees using faulty SS#'s. From the IRS though, IIRC. You must respond to them and either get the proper SS# or start doing backup withholding on the employee in question. And yes, if you don't respond they will contact you again.

Not sure what the rest of your deflecting post means. Whitman pretends to be against illegal immigration and yet she doesn't turn over someone she knows is illegal?

:cuckoo:

I am no meg fan but that doesn't matter; BS is still BS right left sideways, unless one is an uber partisan....

I should have known better....your mind is closed.

I cannot believe this thread is still alive…I am sorry but this uber partisanship has now reached an infantile level.

1) As a California native I can tell you, anyone who thinks that people do, or will or pay an ILLEGAL alien $23 an hour, well you’re smoking some serious shit.(Thats why she went to an agency, you pay more for what again?)

2) she used an agency to hire a housekeeper, the agency guarantees and assists getting the paperwork done and that she is legal AND some also call for background checks as well , they pay her on a agency check drawn from funds in an agency account. ( Allred the ambulance chaser should be going after the agency, but this isn’t what this about anyway soooooo)

3) Hey, I thought it was verboten in the new age of progressivism to ask anyone who even appears swarthy; Semitic or Hispanic etc. if they are a citizen? I mean we don’t want to profile anyone, right?

And if that is not enough the womans crying jag and plaintive weepy “Meg, hep meee” …I mean if you buy that you must have put Ben Affleck, JLo and Gigli are on par with Laurence Olivier and Hamlet….fgs.
I am sure she knew who Gloria Allred was too.....not that anyone helped her out there....

She should be in ICE's hands awaiting trial for felonious use of a Social Security number.

And envision this, Gloria helps her get her SS paperwork squared away, she gets booted back to Mexico and collects her SS award for the rest of her life....great country amerika? eh?

You really should read the OP. Read it slowly, think (I know, that's a challenge) and then rant and rave.
Thanks for sharing.

I did...it was stupid. Illegals cannot collect social security, butthole.

Whitman has spent more money than any other politician in history. She's basically bought this election.

uh huh, you really should read the thread and other sources but ones you feel sppt. your position. Logic be damned, infantile as I said.

Gloria Allred is the one who needs to watch out for kharma.

And little Nicky the maid is a criminal.

God, do I miss Mike Royko....Rest his soul:
The nickname was coined by Mike Royko, the famed Chicago columnist, who in 1976 said that Mr. Brown appeared to be attracting “the moonbeam vote,” which in Chicago political parlance meant young, idealistic and nontraditional.

The term had a nice California feel, and Mr. Royko eventually began applying it when he wrote about the Golden State’s young, idealistic and nontraditional chief executive. He found endless amusement — and sometimes outright agita — in California’s oddities, calling the state “the world’s largest outdoor mental asylum.”

“If it babbles and its eyeballs are glazed,” he noted in April 1979, “it probably comes from California.”

Looks like his observation applies today every bit as much as back in the '70s.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/07/weekinreview/07mckinley.html

Interesting article from the NYTimes; you might want to read it.

It confirms my undersanding of the term "Moonbeam", as Governor Brown suggested California place it's own satellite in orbit to facilliate cost savings. You see, Oddude, Brown was and is a fiscal conservative - and believed by placing a satellite in orbit Califorinia would save $ millions spent on long distance telephone charges and (with prescience) keeping travel for meetings to a minimum. Such a system may have - and might still - save more $ millions if emergencey communications between first responders from distant agencies were facillitated by wireless communications, as well as lives and property.
Moonbeam's spin on Royko's quite poignant characterization of him and the bulk of Fortnicalia moonbats is irrelevant.

Brown himself should've been shot into permanent orbit decades ago.

I'm not convinced that Whitman is the answer to California's problems, but how anyone could support Brown after his first go-round as governor is beyond me. In my opinion, he is one of the biggest reasons California is as fucked up as it is.

Makes me glad I left the state.

And I believe Linda Ronstadt was the first person to refer to him as "Moonbeam."

Jerry Brown rocks.

Many of us are old enough to lived through all of this carnage, described in the link below! There were almost a Thousand Points of Light--of Bush Family Failure Kind of Lore--that went blotto, kabookey, and out: In the Meg Whitman genre of business "entrepreneurial spirit." (". . . .There's No. . .Business. . . .At All! (In the event you have heard!))

Worst of dot.com carnage may be over - Dec. 27, 2001

As opposed to high-tech NASA kinds of projects, the Meg Whitman genre was heavily engaged in their usual three-part process: Launch, Loot, and leave! Al Gore used to take credit for having started all this. Fortunately for Democrats, Meg Whitman is now showing everyone how heavily GOP, Silicon Valley, made it happen.

No business, lots of spending, no records-keeping, no profits, no concept of business or ethics at all! Fortunately now in America: Socialism is not just about Europe and Asia, anymore.

Back to the OP on hypocrisy. Whitman over and over claims that business-people need to be held accountable for employment practices. That is not unlike a standard union messge. In fact, there is federal statute compliance generally applicable. That is a cornerstone of the. . . .well. . . .campaign(?)!

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Great Half-Wit Father In Washington: Maybe now snooping! GOP find many broomsticks. Many not flying in usual Reagan Trajectory--over Pakistan--to bomb little under-age warrior(s): In usual GOP "Trick or Treat(?)!"

Whitman is clearly not the answer; as for blaming Brown for the fiscal problems in California one might - if one were honest and not a partisan hack - consider this fact: Since the election of Ronald Reagan in 1966, California has been governed by only two Democratic Governors: Jerry Brown and Gray Davis (total time in office 12 years and 10 months); Republicans have held the office a total of 31 years, and for 15 of the last 19 years and ten months.
Suggesting Brown is "one of the biggest reasons California is as fucked up as it is" may be your opinion, but it is based on a foundation of bull shit.

Actually, it's based on the passage of Prop 13 which has greatly reduced the state's income. It was Brown's refusal to cut property taxes while sitting on a $5 billion dollar surplus with more money rolling in that led to voters anger and the success of Jarvis' proposition.

Brown opposed prop. 13, an initiative passed by the voters.
What procedure did the Governor have to reduce property taxes?
Why didn't Ronald Reagan cut property taxes, he was Governor for eight years prior to Brown.

Hardly. This is a true account:

A friend of mine is a contract System Administrator. He was interviewed for an assignment a Social Security office. One of the questions he was asked was this:

"How do you feel about working all day in an office where the employees spend their time playing computer games?"

He did get the assignment - and the SS employees did indeed sit around all day playing computer games and goofing off while he did the work.

So did a lot of people.

What procedure did the Governor have to reduce property taxes?

Well, he could have started with recommending legislation to cut property taxes...

Why didn't Ronald Reagan cut property taxes, he was Governor for eight years prior to Brown.

No reason why he couldn't, but we're not talking about Ronald Reagan, we're talking about Jerry Brown.

of course one would think those accounts are apocryphal , but I have been for the past year working for the gov. and let me tell you, I know that is not just a one off.

My response to the closed minded knee jerk vulgarian is;

of course SS is limited to 'citizens', however, what do you think shes in this for? This a lock. Allred will sponsor here or one of her sycophants, mark my words.

If there isn't a formal judgment that strips her of access to the nefarious payments into the system and the shills out there will make sure ala the latest campaign; "illegals have a right to be paid what they are owed"...if you think there's a chance this woman won't see that money some way some how, well, your faith in society is deeper than mine.
This is a handkerchief waiting for a sob story.

And just for musings sake; how did Allred come to have a copy of that? How is that possible? I mean can anyone go into a SS office and ask for a copy of someone else s correspondence?
It cannot be a notice to the worker, if it is and even if it has a CC to Whitman, there is no proof Whitman got it and shes in deeper shit than Whitman is.

The timing is most suspicious.

Whitman did a better job than Jerry during the debate this week. The next morning, the Allred Surprise, which is hardly a surprise at all.
