Like every president since JFK, Donald Trump continues reading from the military industry teleprompter about how the United States is above the law when it comes to allegations of war crimes, torture, illegal spying and other human rights abuses.

This is nothing new. Obama may have been a better reader, but no different when it came to taking orders.

His statement reads, in full:

"Today, the International Criminal Court (ICC) announced its unanimous rejection of a request to investigate American military and intelligence professionals who served in Afghanistan. This is a major international victory, not only for these patriots, but for the rule of law. We welcome this decision and reiterate our position that the United States holds American citizens to the highest legal and ethical standards. Since the creation of the ICC, the United States has consistently declined to join the court because of its broad, unaccountable prosecutorial powers; the threat it poses to American national sovereignty; and other deficiencies that render it illegitimate. Any attempt to target American, Israeli, or allied personnel for prosecution will be met with a swift and vigorous response."

Threatening 'Swift' Retaliation if US, Israel, or Allies Probed, Trump Celebrates ICC's Rejected War Crimes Probe as 'Major International Victory'

I would agree with the ICC position that there had to be a possibility of success and since the US declined to join ICC. It really is a mote point because the US wasn't going to cooperate and probably no one else. Still we been there since 2001 and what has been accomplished. I am sure no one know why we went there in the first place and why we are still there.

Hillary's husband bombed a freaking defenseless country when he was caught with his pants down and those creeps in the bar scene from Star Wars AKA the U.N. went along with it. President Trump tries to bring N.K. to the negotiation table for the first time since Harry Truman left us in a state of war and the crazy left wants to talk about "war crimes" and torture? Give me a break.

So Trump is the new peace messiah ?
Let's hope you're right. If it doesn't work out, maybe we can time-travel back and reelect Jimmy Carter in 1980 and we'll be back in the correct future in the first place.
