Do you think 30 million people are actually looking for extra hours?
They are not. You are being simplistic thinking they are.
And why is it you think that they have to work a job for someone else when there countless ways to earn extra money on your own initiative?
These are your "solutions"
Over the past few years job growth has been slightly under 200,000 a month....that is 33 million labor hours a month added to the economy
For 30 million workers getting just one additional hour would be 30 million hours
how many of those 30 million are looking for more hours?
that's a question you seem to be dodging
You think there is an answer? Who the hell knows?
It is your simplistic solution. If 30 million people need government assistance because of low pay...they should just work extra hours
I have demonstrated to you that the "extra hours" are not there even if all 30 million wanted to work them
but all 30 million don't do they? And even if all of them did those extra hours do not have to be offered by an employer because anyone can get out on their own initiative and make money for themselves.
and I don't think all 30 million "need" government assistance
You struggled at math as a kid didn't you?
There are not enough "extra hours" to get low wage workers off of government assistance
There are not enough "start your own business" opportunities to get them off government assistance
The numbers are not there to support your economic fantasies
you have yet to prove that all 30 million people are looking for extra hours or are indeed capable of working extra hours and you still seem to think those extra hours as you call them must be provided by an employer
anyone can work enough to support themselves if they choose to
