Masturbation

OK you've never had sex, a girlfriend or mastubated.

DUDE, YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON LIFE. GET WITH THE PROGRAM. LIFE IS SHORT!

On the other hand, I'm not a slave to my genitals. You should try it sometime. It's liberating.

I'd try it, but I'm not asexual. Sorry. I'm happily married. I thought you guys approve of that. Right?

Nocturnal emissions are messier and less fulfilling than self pleasure. The sad part about this topic is that apparently most of our women are not amenable to pleasing us as often as we require, thus forcing us to clean our own pipes periodically.

Why is that?

Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money.

Forgot about that. Yeah, that's fine.

They're also far less frequent and don't get you addicted to orgasms. Since I don't regularly require an orgasm to feel relaxed, I can feel relaxed without having to find a private spot and some nudey mags first.

Benefits of Sex

The following is a brief exploration of the benefits accrued from having sex on a regular basis.

Gain in energy:
Sex is a form of physical exercise. Sex three times a week burns lots of calories, and if maintained throughout the year, is equivalent to jogging 75 miles.

Increase in oxidation:
Sex increases the supply of oxygen to the cells and stimulates the activity of various organs and systems within the body.

Reduction of cholesterol:
Sex balances out the good cholesterol to bad cholesterol ratio, and at the same time reduces the overall cholesterol count in the body.

Pain relief:
Some studies indicate that sex may reduce headaches and joint pain.

Protection of the prostate gland:
Prostate gland-related disorders are known to be caused by or become worsened as a result of the secretions from the gland. Regular sexual activity eliminates these harmful secretions. However, a sudden change in the frequency of sex can also cause prostate-related disorders.

Stress relief:
The satisfaction and the relaxation after sex are beneficial for the mind and the circulatory system.

Marital bliss:
Love and affection can increase the level of oxytocin, a hormone that induces sexual desire. A higher level of oxytocin will increase the frequency of sexual encounters between the couple.

Physical energy:
Sex has an advantage, especially for women. Regular sex increases the level of female hormone, which reduces the risk of heart disease and softens the vaginal tract.

Hormonal increase:
Physical exercise, in whatever form, increases the level of the male hormone, testosterone, within the body. Experts say that this hormone strengthens the muscles and bones of the human body.

Hormonal supplementation:
During sex, DHEA is secreted throughout the body. During orgasms or just before ejaculation, the level of DHEA in the bloodstream is 5 times its normal level. This steroid secreted by the adrenal cortex is the major androgen precursor in females. It is also present in males. High levels of DHEA have been associated with longevity, enhanced libido, building muscle mass, and warding off depression.

Now I know why I always feel like crap.

I think GOP Jeff was spot on in the beginning of the thread, thought it is not something I can say I haven't done. Lust is well... natural. very easy sin to fall for.

Umm, I doubt any of us here are "addicted to orgasms" or "require" an orgasm to feel relaxed. We just enjoy them. I'm not trying to convert you to our way of spooge, err thinking, because your situation is special itself.

But I think you may be mischaracterizing our situations.

Not until you get that first taste. Then you will have nothing to defend against that draw that will become all consuming. Control also comes with practice not just denial.

I'm only basing this on my past experiences. There have been so many guys I have seen in the past who obsess over getting orgasms in any way possible. Huge porn collections, desperate attempts to get girls in bed on the first date, and many other things they did were solely directed towards getting an orgasm. Now, I'm definitely all for feeling good (without drugs), but seeing how some other guys can find themselves practically willing to kill for their next orgasm makes me less than willing to take part. I'll stick to restraint, thanks.

After reading your innumerable posts on the subject of your lack of interest in sex I'm guessing that you just have a very low sex drive and/or a hormonal imbalance. Don't be so quick to praise yourself in comparison to other men (boys?) because you may just have a physical problem. Nothing to brag about.

Oh, I have quite a sex drive, believe me. Just like any other guy, I gotta contol myself whenever I see Jessica Alba too. However, I have set my standard, drawn my lines, and made sure that while my sex drive directs me to do many things, I don't let it control me. If my sex drive is telling me to do something I don't really want to do, I don't do it, period. Where this really helps out is when I'm approached by manipulative girls. I've had a couple of girls I've met try to seduce me, because they knew that they could use this type of behavior to manipulate guys. I caught on to what they were doing and simply blew them off.

Look, I have the same drives, feeling, and desires as everyone else. What I also have is an abundance of self-control. The fact that I don't give in to carnal urges doesn't mean I don't have them. I've run 10+ miles a day for six days on a broken leg. I've managed to resist scratching mosquito bites. I stood, unblinking, as a tennis ball hit me right in the face during formation. It's all about self-control and reigning in your instincts. I happen to be very, very good at it. What I don't get is why, instead of believing my statement that I have self-control, so many of you instead try to hypothesize what's wrong with me physically, assuming that nobody can resist these desires and that I must not have them in the first place or else I would've given in by now.

You're closely becoming 'hateful' in your replies to Hobbit. :(

Hobbit, you have achieved what many single Christian guys fail to achieve. Kudos!

You're exaggerating. He seems to take it all right. Methinks he doth protest too much sometimes, but he seems like a nice, sincere kid. Hobbit, if I've offended you, sorry. This is a discussion board after all and Hobbit likes to discuss certain things which I'm presenting an alternate view on. It's all in good fun.

Seriously. Some of the girls here (myself included) have been much harder on him. I think he knows what to expect when he posts stuff, as weird as it may sound. :D

Anyone see that Simpson's show where Homer controls his rage and he gets these weird rage bumps that pop out of his neck? That's the image I get after this post.

Taurus - LOL

Nuc - None taken

dmp - you should see shattered. She rips me almost every time I post. Remember that over 90% of communication has nothing to do with the words you're saying, so you have to consider possible alternate interpretations of the statement since we can't see body language or hear tone over the internet.

Huh??? I barely even know who you are.. However, telling you to get out of retail, because you don't have the cajones for it hardly qualifies as a "rip", IMO..
