Maryland
Today, Maryland made it law that illegals will be granted in state tuition for college.

Maryland with a 1.6 billion dollar deficit that 1.3 billion can be traced to support, housing, medical, prison etc... for illegals has been laying off teachers, police and other legal citizens to cover the shortage.
Money from the road fund was spent in other places leaving that fund broke. To make up for this loss the illustrious leaders decided to put a gas tax on the table, thats right, when fuel is increasing every day and causing distress to many working citizens, instead of running the illegals out, they are discussing anywhere from 12.5 to .75 cent per gallon tax.

When is enough enough? When do the people learn and vote these liberal socialists out of office.

I strongly suggest that anyone living in Maryland near a border state, cross that state line to purchase their food, their drink and their fuel. Large purchases should be made in Delaware where there is no tax on purchases.
If you buy a new car buy it out of state, you will still have to pay the sales tax in maryland to register it, but you will be cutting out the revenue from the dealers sale, the taxes collected from the dealership profits and the taxes from any money made by the sales person.
We need to get business fighting too. The problem right now is that the business owner looks at a new tax on the public and thinks, its either the public, or it my business that will get hit.

In short, I am suggesting that people boycott the state of Maryland as much as possible. Do not mail order anything from the state, do not purchase items sold through the internet that originate in the state. If you are looking for a beach for vacation, Virginia Beach is one of the nicest beaches on the east coast. Hatteras if you want more seclusion. But, if possible, do not spend your time or money on Maryland beaches.

The only other thing I can suggest is if anyone is traveling on I-95 and plan to pass through Maryland, make sure you have enough fuel before you cross into maryland, make sure you stop and eat before crossing so you will not have to spend money here.

Im here for another 8 years until I can retire. I was born in this state, I left for a number of years to serve in the military, and I ended back here for work. I am at a point that I am unable to just walk away right now. You can be sure however that the day after I retire I will drive out of this hell hole for the last time. I wont return.

Republicans want to take Medicare away from the elderly. The elderly are US Citizens.

Republicans wanted to cut unemployment benefits for the unemployed. They are also Americans.

Republicans in Texas want to make gays felons. Gays are US citizens.

Republicans want to give even more tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires even though they are making money hand over fist from companies making the biggest profits ever. Does that mean the rich are the only Americans who count?

We have 14 million unemployed Americans and Obama want to legalize 20 million illegal aliens to work legally and compete with them for jobs? Any 5th grader can see what's wrong with that. And send 2.7 million chilren of illegal aliens to school so they can compete for jobs with our chidlren. What kind of crap is this? After listening to his speech in El Paso I have been pissed off mad.

Start telling the Hispanics how you want things to be in America, because they will be deciding you're future

Watch Hispanics laugh as they remind you that they will soon be in charge because the cowardly US government is terrified of fighting Mexico.

Voting is a duty, a responsibility, possibly even a job......and Obama wants people that will do jobs that Americans won't do.

Voting for Obama. :eusa_angel:

Idiot, illegal aliens are not U.S. citizens.

The real working class American is soon to become a minority. Obama was in El Paso to buy votes pure and simple. Mission Accomplished.

If you throw out 20 million illegals, you also throw out 20 million consumers.

Why do you immigration-deranged have such a hard time understanding that?

Why would anyone with at least the smallest amount of intellect want to keep a redundant plan around? Wont those people over the age of 65 be covered by obamacare? same with Medicaid, obamacare will replace it also. Nobody is taking benifits away, they are only getting rid of programs that will no longer be needed.

No, Republicans only wanted to not increase unemployment to the 99 weeks. It is a bit excessive. The dems are the ones that held up the vote and almost allowed these benifits to expire.

No, they want to make it a felony for someone to go around the law and issue marriage certificates or to perform a gay marriage in Texas. Nobody is claiming that they want someone charged as a felon simply for being gay, they only want to enforce laws already on the books. As a state they certainly have that right, and in turn, those that are residents of that state have the right and/or obligation to let their opinion be known when they vote.

Millionaires and billionairs are already paying the majority of taxes collected. I suggest that it is past time for those of us on the bottom end do our fair part. This would have to start with reform of social programs and immigration policies.

Face it, if the budget is going to get balanced, some groups are certainly going to end up getting their feelings hurt. I would start by hurting the feelings of those here illegally, and those that have made a living off of the welfare system.

I wonder.
If you took away the ability to live off of government money while sitting on the front stoop drinking a 40oz and popping out babies,, do you think any of these people might find it in themselves to actually do those jobs that the illegals are currently taking?

I know its a silly and crude idea to expect people to actually perform some service for their income, ( why, we could almost claim its slavery) but sooner or later the well has to run dry.

Where will you go where you will not find the same problems??? All states in this country is now over run by illegals. And who is to blame for this fiasco? Can anyone guess????

Overrun and invited and referred to as "New Americans" are two different things.

As the republican candidate asked the current democratic governor.
New Americans? If someone breaks into your home do you suddenly consider them a new family member?

Virginia was able to chase them out for the most part, great for Virginia, the problem is they all ran across to Maryland where they would be showered with gifts and love.

Dream Act T-shirt
If opponents of in-state tuition for immigrants needed any more ammunition for their petition drive, it was on the front page of the Sun Wednesday, below the story about the signing of the tuition bill.

The article documents one of the little publicized cuts in the budget proposed by Gov. Martin O’Malley and passed by the General Assembly: the elimination of the Distinguished Scholar Program that would have provided $1.1 million to the best and brightest Maryland students graduating this year. Students who have already made commitments to schools are just learning now that they are losing a $3,000 scholarship award that was based on high grades and national tests, not on financial need.
According to the 90-Day Report by the Department of Legislative Services (page L-17), no new scholarships will be awarded and the program will be eliminated by 2015. It was originally created to keep the top performing graduates of Maryland high schools in the state, preventing a brain drain.

So at the same time the legislature is offering discounted in-county rates for community college tuition to high school graduates brought to this country illegally, it is cutting scholarship aid to the state’s best and brightest. This is part of an overall cut of $1.7 million in scholarship aid administered by the Maryland Higher Education Commission, a 1.6% reduction.

The fiscal note prepared by the Department of Legislative Services, the research arm of General Assembly, said that state expenses for undocumented high school graduates could go up to $778,000 in fiscal 2014 and rise to $3.5 million in fiscal 2016. But a March 14 article on MarylandReporter.com found the cost of offering in-state college tuition to illegal immigrants might be significantly higher than estimates, since they were based only on figures from Montgomery College and none of the other community colleges.

On Tuesday, several supporters said granting aid to undocumented students was “just” and “fair.”

We all know that the state budget needed to be cut, and some of the cuts would seem unfair. But cutting aid to Maryland’s best students while costs are being added for students brought here illegally — and regardless of academic performance — seems one of the unfairest cuts of all.

You might find that Maryland is not the only state who caters to the illegals. Many also consider them 'new americans'. This has been happening now for years in the southwest states.

MSN LATINO reports:

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, EE.UU.

Can those so-called college students even speak English?

many cannot. but they figure that just like the state slows down the real children in schools to accommodate the non speakers, the college will do the same.

they had an interview with one of them, it was done through an interpreter because as he stood there saying that he had a right to instate rates to realize his dreams, he was unable to speak english to convey this message on his own.
