Making Obama a One Term President

Democrats never tire of trotting out Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who said his "single most important political goal" was to make Obama "a one-term president." Horrors! Why, doesn't this just make McConnell the very personification of sinister! Republican opposition for the sole purpose of bringing down Obama, the first black president, yada, blah, etc.

Apparently, it is outside the brain capacity of people like Morgan Freeman to understand something: One way to defeat bad, leftist Democrats' policies is to defeat bad, leftist Democrats, who seek to implement those bad, leftist policies. It's not complicated.

Nothing personal.

i'm sorry, he's your senate minroity leader.

he asserted a goal.

his actions and those which occurred under his leadership were intended to advance those stated goals.

i'm sorry if truth offends your sensibilities.

perhaps that's outside of your brain capacity and the brain capacity of other rightwingnut hacks who would like to go back to the same failed policies that got us where we are.

nothing personal.

:eusa_hand:

Its hard to believe questioning anyone's capacity to understand political objectives would be "nothing personal."

:eusa_whistle:

It makes sense if you think like a leftist.

An overwhelming majority of people support obamacare.
An overwhelming majority of people support same sex marriage.
An overwhelming majority of people support public sector unions.
An overwhelming majority of people support expanded entitlements
An overwhelming majority of people support redistribution of wealth.
An overwhelming majority of people support the goals of occupy wallstreet
An overwhelming majority of people support legalized drugs

If these are supported almost universally, the only reason to vote against obama is because he's black.

OWS has goals? I must have missed that memo.

Isn't it the goal of every political election to make the other side a one term representative? It would be kind of pointless for republicans to NOT want to make obama a one termer. It would defeat the whole point of elections.

But it's not fair when it's Obama. The Lightworker's glorious reign on Earth deserves to be unopposed by the ignorant and hateful.

Right, USMB lefties?

Awwwww. The nutters are upset that we find McConnell's priorities to be a bit out of order. Thus, they have convinced themselves that liberals are unable to grasp party politics. How convenient.

and the butters are upset that we're gonna make obama a one termer.

Nothing is being ‘trotted out,’ it’s an established fact that republicans place partisan interests above the National good; McConnell’s statement was merely further confirmation of that fact.

Republicans had a choice to make: take action to address jobs and the economy, ending the suffering of Americans, or drag their feet and do noting, prolonging the misery of the American people, in an effort to realize some perceived political gain.

They clearly decided against the interests of the American people.

If Republicans address the joblessness you wouldn't like the outcome. We'd have that pipeline, We'd have choices in where to go to school., we'd have no EPA (did you know the fucking EPA is demanding that coal plants use a product that doesn't even exist?) and there will be no ball busting tax hiking job losing health care bill. Asswipe.

He had jsut campaigned for months saying his number one priority was to create jobs.

it makes him a fucking liar

And......while the disloyal opposition was purposefully doing nothing in DC, FOX nation was out here cheering on every morsel of bad economic news the could find.

Unfortunately for them, the recovery kept creeping along and the nation added PRIVATE SECTOR jobs for 26 consecutive months. American businesses, RIFE WITH FUCKING UNCERTAINTY, have prospered like no other time in History and have loads of cash. Wall street rebounded and the housing market has stopped it's slide.

The fuckers know that Obama is going to beat Romney if the issue is the economy. Hense, the change in subject.

Predictable fuckers.

Every issue has to be made personal with republicans or they don't really care and few things have ever shook their narrow little world like the election of Obama. It must be tough walking through life feeling personally insulted and cheated by broad social trends.

Correct.

They’re angry and upset that everyone rejected their dogma, party, and candidate in 2008. Now they must ‘prove’ everyone was ‘wrong’ back in 2008 by ‘getting rid’ of Obama, even if they have to destroy the Nation in the process.

so when President Romney takes office you democrats will give him 8 unchallenged years.. Is that what I'm hearing?

LOL tell that to Joe the Plumber. The left made it personal when they released skewered him after he dared to ask Obama a question, which Obama flubbed. Instead of saying Obama screwed up they made it personal against Joe the Plumber. Everything from his plumping license, taxes and child support were made public.

As far as making Obama a one term president, isn't that what each party does each election cycle--- assure their opponent serves only one term?

This is nothign new or personal.

I find it funny the way the left goes on about that comment like is not always the goal of the party that does not occupy the Whitehouse to make the person who does a one term President.

Not only is he not a plumber, but his real name is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher.

Oh................I get it, middle names are actually to be used as first names when you wanna appeal to middle class folk, and you put a good blue collar job behind it.

As far as making Obama a one term president? Why have the republicans voted against the American Jobs Act (which would put jobs IN THIS COUNTRY as well as fix the infrastructure that really needs it, or why are they now bitching about his policy on immigration when they had the chance to pass the DREAM act back in 2010?

Why does the current house keep voting on bullshit like abortion and DOMA, when they told us they'd work on jobs?

I'll tell you why...............it's because of what McConnell said back in 2009.

And............I hope that McConnell, Boehner and Cantor are all 3 sent packing this election cycle.
