Duh. This has been going on for a while now. The jobs are leaving and they are headed for low tax, right to work states. That's how I ended up down here.

Voting with feet has permanent effects. The most important underreported datum of the run up to the Civil War is the rate of repudiations, defaults and temporary insolvencies of slave states vs. free states dating from the panic of 1837. The higher rate of insolvencies in left-liberal states are going to have permanent political effects.
