Louisiana Republican Party wants to ban college study of diversity, equity, inclusion

Uh no, His-Story is a lie for the most part and that is what right wing, conservatives want taught in school.
Conservatives teach that a man is a man and a woman is a woman. That's the truth. Leftists would have us believe that a man can be a woman and a woman can be a man. That's a falsehood at the highest degree.

Louisiana would ban nothing. Students would be free to study anything they want on their own time but the law would eliminate state funded departments in universities that are dedicated to inciting racial unrest. Louisiana is way ahead in focusing education opportunities on real education.

I'm wondering if you watched a Netflix "documentary" on How The Colonies came into existence? Or maybe a product of the modern "school" system?

Back when true history was being taught ... we all learned that the colonies were extensions of the British Empire. Yup ... white Europeans.
We have never been taught true American history.

A statement like that shows how ignorant you are. They weren't "so-called" founders, they actually created a new country, based on God-given concepts of individual liberty and the sanctity of life. Of course, I wouldn't expect you to be able to comprehend that, as well as the fact that Marxism didn't even rear its ugly head until the 1800's.
They didn't find anything when people are already here. And they used race to pit people against each other. So according to you, they were Marxists. And they did not create anything based on God. You are the one who doesn't understand. Everything you have claimed is a lie.

A declaration was made in the late 1700s that all men were created equal, but those words were just quill pen ink written on parchment.

“It is certain in theory, that the only moral foundation of government is the [agreement] of the people, but to what an extent shall we carry this principle? Shall we say, that every individual of the community, old and young, male and female, as well as rich and poor, must [agree] to every act of legislation?...

Is it not equally true, that men in general in every society, who [are poor and do not own property], are also [unfamiliar] with public affairs to form a right judgment, and too dependent upon other men to have a will of their own? … Few men, who have no property, have any judgment of their own. They talk and vote as they are directed by some man of property, who has attached their minds to his interest.

Depend upon it, sir, it is dangerous to open [such a] source of controversy and altercation, as would be opened by attempting to [change] the qualifications of voters. There will be no end of it. New claims will arise. Women will demand a vote. Lads from 12 to 21 will think their rights not enough attended to, and every man, who has not a [dime], will demand an equal voice with any other in all acts of state. It tends to confound and destroy all distinctions, and [surrender] all ranks, to one common level.”
-John Adams to James Sullivan, 26 May 1776.

John Adams to James Sullivan, 26 May 1776; from Charles Francis Adams, ed., The Works of John Adams, Second President of the United States (Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1854). John Adams Explains Why People Without Property Should Not Be Able to Vote · SHEC: Resources for Teachers

From the beginning, poor/working class white men did not have equal rights. You could not vote. By 1856, poor white men could vote. White women had no rights, by 1920, white women could vote. And even while poor/working class whites didn't really have full rights, they were race pimped by the elites into believing in white supremacy.

Just like you are right now

You libs want to erase history, you want to take down statues of war heroes you don't like.
Funny how there are no statues of Nat Turner. History can't be erased and symbols of tyranny should be taken down.

‘Louisiana Republican Party officials want state lawmakers to forbid the study of racism at colleges and universities, arguing in a resolution approved Saturday that classes examining "inglorious aspects" of United States history are too divisive.

The resolution, passed by voice vote with no discernible dissent at the state party's quarterly meeting in Baton Rouge, asks the Legislature to pass laws removing diversity, equity and inclusion departments and agencies "within any institution of higher learning within the state." Without citing evidence, the resolution asserts that these programs have bloated budgets and inflamed political tensions on campuses.

The move comes amid efforts by Republican lawmakers nationwide to exert more control over educational materials and curricula, including books containing LGBTQ+ themes and classes about racism. They hope the effort will endear them to the GOP’s grassroots base as the party recovers from its 2022 midterm losses and prepares for the 2024 presidential election.’

Diversity, equity, and inclusion, the three things that frighten conservatives the most, the consequence of white grievance politics and racist replacement theory.
Thank God!

Perhaps common sense will prevail after all!

I get told by racists about how whites died to free us from slavery. But Critical White Supremacy Theory doesn't talk about events like this:

On September 11, 1851, a federal marshal led a raid into the home of William Parker. Parker was an escaped slave who was hiding four other slaves owned by a man named Edward Gorsuch.8 Gorsuch wanted his slaves returned, and according to the Fugitive Slave Act, he had every right to use any means necessary to get them back. Gorsuch and his raiders then descended on Christiana, Pennsylvania, to recapture his slaves. If Gorsuch could speak to us today, he would tell us he made the wrong decision. Gorsuch and his raiders attacked the house and ran into bullets returned by the escaped slaves inside the house. The life of Edward Gorsuch ended on September 11, 1851, as a result of his decision. His raiders ran away. Most of the blacks involved in the shooting escaped to Canada. Later that year, the United States government tried charging 41 people who resisted the attempted re-enslavement for treason. The charges were dropped. This is known as The Christiana Resistance. There were other similar acts of resistance, but such things did not get taught as part of CWST.

The more the left talk about racism, the more racist and divisive the country gets.
