Graham urges GOP to abandon Trump after attacks on judge

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is urging Republicans to rethink their support for Donald Trump following his attacks on a federal judge of Mexican heritage.

“This is the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy,” Graham told The New York Times for an article published late Monday.

“If anybody was looking for an off-ramp, this is probably it,” Graham said. “There’ll come a time when the love of country will trump hatred of [Democratic presidential front-runner] Hillary [Clinton].”

Republican leaders have widely denounced comments from Trump going after the heritage of Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who was born in Indiana to Mexican immigrants.

The Trump Campaign is going down :dev3:

South Carolina is a prime state for abstaining from a first ballot vote at the convention that would knock Trump out of the running. States that vote for Trump will be forever labeled as racist states.

The extinction of the average weak republican establishment career politician would be a welcome thing...

whos next to leap from the Trump train .... super pac donars?

that would be the part where his 10 billion net worth comes into pay ...the billion dollar campaign against Clinton looms.

Graham was never part of Trumps campaign ,no relevance.graham and other repub like him are why Trump is where he is.they like you still don't get it.

Haha Lindsey Grahamnesty. He hates Trump bc he wants NO BORDER.

He is as dirty as the Clintons. I live in SC....and have never met a single person who has voted for Graham....yet he wins every reelection by huge margins. I have no IDEA how.

If Trump's nomination means:
A) We flush RINOS out of office....but...
B) We suffer through 4 years of Hillary....

I say it's worth the price.

YouGov

A smaller majority, 51 percent, say that Trump’s comments were not only wrong, but racist.

Suuuure, just so happen the name calling coincides with their opposition to Trump. Just a coincidence. Like how GWB was the Conservative Super Man until the day he left office.
