Why is it that a British publication is reporting about our government having intel of major security threats 48 hours before the Libya attacks. Why isn't our own media telling us what the government knew and when?

Yup __ That. Are the media that concerned with making Mitt look bad that they are not at all bothering to their job of watch dogging the government?

No one needs to make Mitt look bad, he does that all on his own. If you read the article you'd understand the complicated nature of what happened.

"Mr Stevens had been on a visit to Germany, Austria and Sweden and had just returned to Libya when the Benghazi trip took place with the US embassy's security staff deciding that the trip could be undertaken safely.

Eight Americans, some from the military, were wounded in the attack which claimed the lives of Mr Stevens, Sean Smith, an information officer, and two US Marines. All staff from Benghazi have now been moved to the capital, Tripoli, and those whose work is deemed to be non-essential may be flown out of Libya."

    AP: American Pravda

They're trying to sweep under the rug the fact that Obama got 4 more Americans killed.

That's why I haven't watched TV news or read a newspaper since I found Drudge and other internet news

The Mother Jones article which supposedly quoted a USMC Liaison said no Marines were present guarding the Consulate at Benghazi

That'd be interesting. Initially, two marines were reported killed. I believe one was really a former marine that was now a security expert of some sort. I don't know about the other.

Then again, I saw another report that said eight Americans were injured defending the place. I don't remember if the term, Marines was used or not.

I don't know why the info is so sketchy at this point. Can the media please do their jobs?

Isn't what happened obvious. Ambassador Stevens returned from a trip to the Embassy at Tripoli. He was told that an attack on the consulate in Benghazi was going to occur so he went there to get the consulate staff out safely. He was wrong because this regime did not provide any security whatsoever.

If the report is true that we knew about the threat for 48 hours; one has to wonder why they were still in Benghazi.
