I had to go to page 2 in my search, where I found the NYTimes to find this story. Here are a few quotes.

"The program is not about sexual orientation but rather about breaking up social cliques, which are especially evident in a school cafeteria, Ms. Costello said. "

" Although parents did complain to Kevin Brady, the head of the Avon Grove Charter School in rural Pennsylvania, the school is still planning to hold Mix it Up at Lunch Day for its 1,600 students.

Students will each be assigned a number and then paired up by school officials. The school has a large population of special-needs students who can feel isolated and thus benefit greatly from the program, Mr. Brady said.

The school started it a few years ago, inspired, in part, by the shootings at Columbine High School in Colorado and examples of bully-related violence that surfaced in schools around the country.

He said the e-mail sent by the association described a program that had “absolutely no resemblance to what we do.” Once parents understood how the program worked, they decided not keep their children home that day, he said.

“I think they feel they have been taken for a bit of a ride,” he said. "

I wish my teachers would have forced girls to make out in front of the class when I was going to school.

I didn't see any denial of the kissing exercise

'kissing exercise'

did anyone kiss?

Okay, nit-picker.....the kiss-asking exercise.......

it's not nit-picking. it's being accurate. nobody kissed, and the exercised wasn't designed to have anyone kiss.

i'm trying to think of which scenario would look best

'teachers have boys proposition girls for kisses'
'teachers ask girls for kisses'

the exercise was meant for girls to practice turning down unwanted advances. the sad truth is the instructors probably thought they were being safe by having girls ask girls.

Adler has cleared the story. It's for real. I'm listening right now. He's validated it. And due to CRTC rules, you lie up here your license gets yanked.

Yes, the story might be legitimate in that there is a story. It may even have some basis in truth in that there was anti bullying activities going on. That doesn't mean the way right wing media is reporting it isn't a gross exaggeration.

The NY Times actually interviewed and quoted people involved in the program. It doesn't get much more accurate than that.

You want a GOOD training program to prepare faculty and students to protect and defend themselves should another Newtown, CT take place? Try the "Active Shooter Training Program" that the New Life Baptist Church and Academy present.
Now that's an anti-bully training program. No swapping spit, or begging another student for sexual favors needed.

how what didn't happen? i don't disagree that girls probably asked other girls for kisses. I do disagree that it was somehow a plot to make them act like lesbians and was instead intended as a safe way to practice rejecting unwanted advances with someone who wasn't really making any.

I can't speak for all liberals, but as an engineer all I can say is...

How fucking stupid are some people?

Dumb enough not to care that liberals organized training so they could sexually abuse children.

like you, taking note of that post but not giving a fuck about the kids.

So now you are just making shit up? Good thinking.

No

You cared more about what someone said about liberals than the fact a group of liberals organized to sexually abuse kids.

I made that clear observation based on your only post.

You're one sick demented fuck.

Another clear and blatantly obvious observation

so let me see if I understand your sick demented puss infested skull.

It's ok to bully girls into asking other girls for a kiss in front of a group of people.

NY Middle School Anti-Bullying Indoctrination Lesson Includes Lesbian Role Play « Pat Dollard

Apr 18, 2013

Young girls at a New York middle school were instructed to ask one another for a lesbian kiss and boys were given guidance on how to tell if women are sluts during an anti-bullying presentation on gender identity and sexual orientation, angry parents allege. The special health class was held last week at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, NY. The students were separated by gender – with students from Bard College leading the workshops.

Parents are especially furious after their young daughters were told that it was perfectly normal for 14-year-old girls to have sex and there was nothing their parents could do to intervene.

The boys and girls were also given a sexual vocabulary primer – that included words like “pansexual” and “genderqueer.”

I'm as liberal as they come...but this does seem way overboard...

Do you believe it happened as reported?

right. parents hate it when their daughters turn down sexual advances.

So now our daughters also have to worry about lesbian predators? And I thought horny teenaged boys were a problem.
Any way you twist it, this is not something that belongs on the official school curriculum.
