Liar-N-Chief CAUGHT using a soldier

Your beneath contempt and not worthy of discussion.

Yes, we all can see your obvious contempt for logic.

The only thing being seen here is that you're a liberal HACK who will dishonor the facts regarding the moral fiber of a Commander in order to lick the ass of your messiah.. you've done nothing but show your true colors.. WTG. Bookmark this thread because I intend to.

Well, now you've just made yourself look even more foolish.

Keep up the good work

READ THIS POST--It will clue you in on the leftist mindset regarding our military and their sacrifices... "JUST BECAUSE HE WAS IN THE MILITARY." Forget HE DIED, forget this Commander-N- Chief met with his mother and father, awarding this soldier the MOH.. hugging his parents and yet HE DOESN'T REMEMBER THE NAME..

I see logic eludes you.

Your beneath contempt and not worthy of discussion.

His beneath or yours?

I just see where he got two people mixed up while speaking off-the-cuff.

You're right! Hang Him!!!!!
You know I got mad love for ya, 'bro, but I gotta disagree with you and Av.

We're talking about a MEDAL OF HONOR recipient where the President had to award it to his parents, posthumously, Paul and Janet Monti.

This is something that my President, regardless of party, is not allowed to forget.
Especially one that claims to lose sleep over sending these kids to fight for us.

If I was to ever, even casually, meet a MoH member I would damned sure remember his name until the day I died.

Did the POTUS lie? No.
He DID, however, dishonor his position as Commander in Chief, IMO

He didn't forget him, He called him the wrong name. BFD. You've never been called by name which isn't yours as someone gropes back in their memory banks searching for a name?

Just because he was in the military doesn't make the memory banks fire any harder.
While I don't expect him to name all 57 states I DO require he remember 5 men:

Sep 17, 2009 Monti, Jared C. Army/Afghanistan Presented posthumously at the White House by President Barack Obama.

Sep 19, 2010 Etchberger, Richard L. Air Force/Vietnam Presented posthumously at the White House by President Barack Obama.

Oct 6, 2010 Miller, Robert James Army/Afghanistan Presented posthumously at the White House by President Barack Obama.

Nov 16, 2010 Giunta, SalvatoreArmy/Afghanistan Presented at the White House by President Barack Obama. Salvatore Giunta is the first LIVING Recipient of the Medal of Honor for actions since the Vietnam War.

May 2, 2011 Anthony Kaho'ohanohano Henry Svehla Army/Korea
Presented posthumously at the White House by President Barack Obama.

But we are talking about a man that doesn't remember being friends with Bill Ayers or listening to Jeremiah Wright talk shit about the country for 20 years.
:eusa_shhh:

But doesn't it diminish the proudest moment of Salvatore Guinta's life, having the POTUS present him with the MoH, to have his name "mis-spoken" only 7 months later??

Is it my own military experience biasing my view? Probably.

Im amazed how minor mistakes can make people flip out. You guys honestly think he did this maliciously? For what reason? What could he gain from this?

The man confused two people. Mistake? Yes. A reason to hang the man? Heck no! Important in the long run of this nation? Heck no!

We need to stop losing all control of ourselves when someone we disagree with someone and they make a dumb mistake. Is it any wonder our nation is suffering? Is it any wonder our government is corrupt as heck?

Seriously people. We need to focus on the real issues. The more we get distracted by this bullcrap, the more likely we are to fail at fixing our problems.

Wake up! We have more important things to deal with.

I can't say that I feel "flipped out" over this.
I've never had enough confidence in the guy for me to lose much...
Corpse men was a slip of the tongue and I defended him on it.
57 states I chalked up to being tired from campaigning feverishly of late.

I just think it's pretty shitty that the CiC could take the time to award a hero the MoH, to honor a man in that way, to thank him so sincerely, to bestow such a rare privilege on someone, to make such a festivity of it....only to hang his name on someone else???

Like I said, this President (and I still capitalize it out of respect for the office) just lost a little more of what little was left of my respect.

My next important thing is to bring the rest of Salvatore's brothers and sisters in arms the fuck HOME!!
Piss on that little sandbox of bass-ackwards idiots. Let 'em kill each other, and quick.

I had to be to work early today and haven't caught any news.
In his speech, last night, did Bam-Bam give a withdrawal date?

He mixed two soldiers up. I would hardly consider that an impeachable offense. Or a lie.

Now is it bright? Heck no. He should have made sure he was accurate before hand. But I see nothing malicious in this. He has enough legitimate weaknesses. let's focus on them.

Actually, he should have known:

From a Blackfive reader "T":

The President addressing the 10th Mountain Division today at Fort Drum:

"First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously."

As we all know, SSG Sal Giunta, of the 173rd Airborne, was the first living recipient (2011) of the MOH who fought in Iraq/Afganistan. SFC Jared Monti, 10th Mountain Division, was KIA in Afghanistan in 2006. He was posthumously awarded the MOH by Obama in 2009.

How does the Commander-in-Chief mix these heroes up? He put that medal around Giunta's neck and he stood with Monti's parents as they grieved. These fallen heroes leave such a great legacy, and we should know all their names. The ironic part of the speech, and this comes after the announcement of the politically pressured drawdown of troops in Afghanistan, was Obama's closing remark, "Know that your Commander-in-Chief has your back."

It shouldn't take a teleprompter for the C-in-C to get it right.
