But I sure like seed and plant catalogs! What are people's favorites?

Mine right now is Territorial, the West Coast seed catalog that taught us all, even in Maryland, to vegetable garden in the fall and winter. WOW, the stuff that can be overwintered! Global warming, bring it ON!

I used to like Park, but it's past it's sell-by date. I still like good old Burpee and got their Supersauce giant Roma tomato seed for this year; they always have something new and wonderful.

Mostly web sites are replacing them but I always loved the Forrest Farm catalog for trees as well as the more photogenic Musser Forrest catalog. A few years back we gave away bare root Dawn Redwoods from Musser at work. Had ppl drive from 30 miles away and gave away 80ish trees. Didn't generate a lick of business but amazed my coworkers.

Placed an order with Baker Street for the first time the other day so don't know for sure yet but they seem good.
Usually get my seeds from my own garden and from others, but have also ordered from Bountiful Gardens in Willits Ca and have always been satisfied.

The very best herb seed store ever has to be Nichols Garden Nursery in Albany, Oregon. Here's their "safe seed" pledge:

I shopped for unusual seeds for my garden there, too. I had just found out about fennel seeds to perk up Italian food, and visited their store to purchase fennel seeds to plant our first spring there. What a treat it was to pass the fennel plants and inhale this lovely plant's delectable fragrance. I thought they rather resembled celery, except for their amazing bouquet, but when they seeded, they looked like a regular herb. lol! The bugs didn't seem to bother fennel. And wow, were the stalks ever a nice addition to soups when sliced thin.

Been busy beating up Dante. Keeding it was fun though. Now I can relax an have some fun here. I love and adore my seed catalogues.

So now I am complete. Johnny's has come in.

I put up to close to two acres so sometimes if I overwhelm you, just please put things in perspective. It's not a brag on. It's what I literally have to do to bring a garden home within a 90 day period.

I'm dealing with such a short growing season and trying my hardest to do it naturally. In other words. By October, I get shit faced after I bring it all home.

Well i used to like Recreation area, but it's previous it's sell-by time frame. I still like excellent old Burpee and got their Supersauce massive Roma tomato seeds for this year; they always have something new and amazing.
