Legit Political Question For 2012, Are the "birthers" and is the "Tea Party" Racist?

Some Birthers are racist....the rest are just nutzoid conspiracy theorists

Now as to the Tea Party....they are not racist. They are just the victims of left wing infiltrators.....LOTS of em

Okay, if you want to actually talk:

1. Did you read the main post and watch the video clips?

2. Are liberal democrats equally proportionate to the right wing in terms of proportion of racists?

3. Conspiracy theorists? Some may well be. The ones i know and myself make no assumptions - we just follow what manning said, though not because he said it, "Just turn over the birth certificate, man". Like the Huffington post. Like chris matthews. Now I assume you have a problem with that. Why? Remember, he isn;t just holding on to it, he's spending big money - our money - on lawyers to make sure no one sees it. What's wrong with saying "turn it over"?

I ignore your posts because I dislike your obtrusive fonts and use of bold

4. Don't have more than a few words in italics:

Italics are one way to draw attention to text, but it makes text harder to read. Using italics for one or two words on occasion is good, but if you go crazy and start using italicized text all over the place, or for long sentences or paragraphs then your looking for trouble!
Just compare this paragraph in just italics:

5. Don't have more than a few words in a bold case:

Sounds like the last two. Nonetheless it is still valid for the same reasons in that the text is harder to read, and then loses its point. Remember that setting text bold, italic, or in CAPITALS are all ways to bring attention to the particular words, but if you're making everything the same, it loses its impact.

A lot of bloggers rather place an emphasis on text at the beginning and throughout the middle of every one or two paragraphs. This won’t ensure that every reader will take a deeper gander at most of your content, but it may increase the odds of a majority being read. You also have to make sure you don’t go on a bold type spree and make every little bit of text you can bold. Your content will be extremely hard to read and comprehend.

I'd rank it

1. 9/11 was an inside job
2. Obama is the devil
3. Birther

Actually, as I review this thread, there is no way I can rank all the conspiracy theories. But of the three, that's how I'd rank them.

This means you must embrace Byrd and what Bill Clinton said about him. Since you claim to have not read the first post, let me clue you in: embracing Byrd and what Clinton said about him assuredly makes you racist. For real. If you want to clear that very legitimate impression, deal with the facts of the OT. Everyone knows you can read it, just like you read a majority of the 370 posts just like it previously.

Worthless, lying shit.

Tardz, I didn't read your OP because your font shows up real small and the bold makes it bleed together on my screen. I've read plenty of retarded posts on this forum, and I would read yours too if you just posted like a normal person. As to the thread title--

Legit Political Question For 2012, Are the "birthers" and is the "Tea Party" Racist?

This really is not, imo, a legit political question in 2012. It is a distracting issue for both sides. The candidates and the pundits and the electorate should focus on the issues and policies, not the politics of labeling and of victimization. Your 'legit political question' would really just be a red herring.

As it pertains to the question in the OP, I don't think the Tea Party nor birfers are necessarily racist, but I do think you'll find more racists are birfers than the general population.

Skippy will get all upset at this assertion, but does one honestly believe that members of, say, the KKK, are more likely to believe that Obama was born in the US and is eligible to be President than the general population? C'mon. It's simple confirmation bias. According to one poll, a majority of likely primary Republican voters thought that Obama wasn't born in America. Republicans in general are more likely to believe that Obama isn't eligible to be President. I am NOT implying that Republicans are racists. But it is human nature to believe bad things about your opponents or enemies than it is your friends or allies. Democrats are more likely to believe Bush was behind 9/11, for example, which is nonsensical. So, since racists are more likely to oppose Obama, they are more likely to believe negative things about Obama, and are more likely to be birfers.

I don't disagree with any of those points. Another example is that it's not Democrats sponsoring the birther bills in all those states. It's a tactic to, in a way, delegitimize a political opponent without addressing that opponents policies. Although there's also Republicans distancing themselves from that legislation too. My hope though is that the GOP goes the Sarah Palin route (can't believe I just typed that) in addressing this "issue".

"Do you question his [Obama's] faith and citizenship?" Palin was asked today during an onstage interview hosted by the Long Island Association. Her answer was brief and to the point.

"I don't, and those are distractions," she said to some applause. "What we're concerned about is the economy. And we're concerned about the policies coming out of his administration and what he believes in terms of big government or private sector. So, no, the faith, the birth certificate, others can engage in that kind of conversation. It's distracting. It gets annoying and let's just stick with what really matters."
PostPartisan - Palin gets it right on birthers and Obama's faith

This is just pure bullshit speculation on my part, but I think if the economy is slagging in 2012, you'll see the GOP candidates focus on Obama's policies. But if the economy is doing well and independent voters are generally feeling positive about the trajectory of the country, you'll see the GOP candidates frequently pay lip-service to the Kenya/Ayers/Muslim/short-form circus, as a way to paint him as a shady and un-American person. Personal attacks instead of policy attacks tells me the attacker has a lack of confidence on their own policy front.

Did you say something GTardz? Was there something you REALLY had to get off your chest?

You may be right. The GOP tried to turn it into a culture war in 1996. But the birfer nonsense doesn't hold with independents. The Republican leadership isn't stupid. They'll try to avoid it like the plague in the general arena while giving it a nod-and-a-wink to nutters like GTardz.

In all fairness to poor GStarz

Can we have a show of hands of how many people read his OP or watched his videos?

Anyone? Anyone?

That's ultimately what I think these burfur bills are. It's just a way to play footsie with that sentiment and secure the tardz vote. Even though I think these legislators understand the low odds of these bills passing and then making it untouched through the courts, that reality doesn't really matter as far as political strategy goes.

OK... before i answer GStarz.

Can you do me a favor please :)

can you tell me what it is you are saying/asking in one small paragraph....in normal font.... and in black or navy please :) I did not read your OP as it is to long to figure out what your point is.

Compound statements/questions are to hard to answer.

I think the topic is valid and that the OP makes some cogent points. Knocking him down because of "style" seems pretty silly to me. There are plenty of posters here that use odd fonts and colors....

That being said - there is way too much information in the OP to wade through. It took a lot of effort create, and I can appreciate that, but it is overwhelming for most people.

I think some of the legislators absolutely believe it but I think others are trying to curry favour with the base knowing there is little chance of the bills passing.

It appears that Trajan and Zander have read the OP. That probably merits rep.

Since a couple of sympathetic souls have expressed doubts about the posting style, I will make a compromise on their behalf (not the liberals),and re-post in 'normal' font (editing the original appears to be no longer possible)

I won't, however, edit the content. I've been places where some posts are very long indeed - and some here are, two, and without the courtesy of a break in the paragraphs!

Editing out damning content for liberals is what they want. Some things cannot be appropriately addressed quickly, which is why liberals win if discussions are three words or less. If some people feel it's all too long, then i submit that the topic of conservatives being falsely accused of racism isn't important to them, if the topic isn't important enough to sit through anything but a drive-by shooting. that's the best i can do. Some subjects are important enough to warrant attention. rarely have i ever seen this topic addressed with anything other than whining, so it's time we spent a little time with this one and cleared the air on the liberal bullshit.

Whenever cornered by the facts of Obama fighting court battles to keep the evidence that he is constitutionally qualified - or unqualified - to be president, on this board and others you always hear the word "racist" thrown about by leftists with casual abandon, as though it's a given. I don't know about anyone else, but I find the word to be among the lowest forms of insults when unfounded, because such a mindset is indicative of the lowest form of human outlook. But when it comes to so-called "birthers" and the "tea party", let's clear the air with evidence - is it in any way true? I say "No", and the leftists who use the word "racist" so casually for political purposes are beneath human classification, though they're so shamelessly ideological many will actually take that as a compliment.

My points here are essentially qualified by the best form of qualification: the video, because it is difficult-to-impossible to fake. Videos are the best form of manifest fact online when they are qualifications of people's own words. Only a fool would debate the evidence of one.

Certainly racism exists in every corner of society. The democrats are thick in it

From the History Channel (46 seconds)

Bill Clinton attempts to justify DEMOCRAT 40-year senator and congressional chairperson Robert Byrd's KKK membership in the name of political expediency (Gross and unbelievable) (39 seconds)

Byrd still couldn't shed his old habits even not long before his death.

And Obama himself, his supporters will be happy to know, is not above using terms himself such as "typical white person". Maybe it would be more fair to explain Obama's remark as to simply say he's a "typical reverse racist".

A very long compilation of Obama's racist remarks, associations and unsettling racial obsession

So we know gross racism, even for political purposes, is not just beyond the realm of the liberal democrats, but they're up to their necks in it. Not just playing the 'race card' but racism itself.

Now, back to the idea that the birthers and "tea partiers" (often associated) are "right-wing racists"

Well, prime birther/lawyer and endless lawsuit filer Philip Berg was/is a Hillary Clinton supporter, so he is no way right wing. Nor is the UBER-LEFT-WING Huffington Post, that wrote the following HERE:

The only thing weirder than the Birthers are the anti-Birthers, who blame the Birthers for being conspiracy theorists yet actively feed the conspiracy by refusing to call for President Obama to release his birth certificate.

The state official in Hawaii who manages such things has reiterated that there is indeed an original birth certificate on file which would confirm President Obama's having been born in Hawaii and that she has seen it, but state law won't allow her to release it unless the president authorizes it.

So what's the problem here? Release the original and let's be done with this madness.

Now, going further, are there black tea partiers who would say that the Tea Party, often associated with the "birther" movement, is not racist? Yes. Here is a group of black tea party leaders with more authority to make the argument than anyone on this board, black, white or otherwise ( it's 10 minutes long, but take the time to educate yourself - this is a must see for liberals, particularly, who have been brainwashed into thinking that the tea party is racist)

More good stuff along the same lines

Black conservative Thomas Sowell, a hugely well-regarded writer, speaks negatively about Obama's socialism - is Sowell racist against Obama because Obama is black?

Black Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson explains how Barack obama is racist against whites, and makes no bones about it.

Getting to the conclusion, are there passionate African American so-called "birthers"? Yes.And at this point, it seems sensible to eliminate racism from the list of motivations behind the "birther" movement; all three of the following have accomplished a great deal in the public arena - journalist, US ambassador, and founder of a worldwide church in Harlem, speaking to his black congregation that agrees, respectively (in other words, they have more cred in their respective positions which qualify their opinions than anyone on this board):

Now the liberals will take all this evidence which is clearly a threat to their lies and spin, and dismiss it with such mature responses as "birfer", and/or slyly try to convince you not to watch by citing the words of the black people themselves as 'lies", which really could be seen as racism if people tell you not to listen to a black person because that person is black, which is what this would amount to.

So, the next time someone here calls a so-called "birther" or "tea partier' a racist simply on the matter of attacking obama on policy, his character or particularly calling those people who want Obama to cough up his qualifying birth records and stop wasting taxpayer money on lawyers to keep the public from seeing them, you tell those lying scumbag Obama brown-nosing liberal propagandists just how low they are, and don't hold back.

I don't want to go into the details of my own life, but my experiences being what they are, being called racist is as gross and unconscionable an insult as can be dreamed up. And be forewarned; say that about me, and Fuck You, asshole, will be the nicest of my responses, so know it, and I'll call you out for the political scum that you are. Every patriot should do the same without reservation and don't be afraid of the fight: soldiers actually died and most died young, most without having grown old enough to know the affection or love of a girl for no more reason than so you could be free enough to use an unfettered access like this message board to express yourself for the good of your country. Remaining silent in the face of a lying leftists for fear of their mockery is the most cowardly of responses. Don't make our hundreds of thousands of young soldiers' collective sacrifice be one made in vain. Speak out!

It''s time for intellectual honesty to crush the lying scum of the left once and for all and forever.

Racist? Fuck You.
