Ever been to brothels in Spain? How about Italy, France or Greece? I have, and can tell you that the women who are there are there BY CHOICE, and have access to police protection, as well as have guards in many of the houses themselves. One of the most well patrolled areas in Catania Sicily is the red light district, and it is patrolled by both city cops and the national police. The girls only have to holler once if they have a problem and several police are at her door almost instantly.

If they have access to legal recourse if needed, how can they be victimized?

Unlike you, I've actually been there, and seen what goes on and how well the women are protected.

The only reason women are exploited right now is because they don't have any legal recourse to fall back on, which is why pimps keep such brutal control over their stable of women.

Think it's still largely a female indepedence issue for US lawmakers. If they legalize it, women gain economic independence, marriage loses some power, sex is normalized, etc.

You may not have noticed, but woman have economic independence and marriage is on the rocks.

Then..............I'm going to see if those stats hold up against what that particular country says they are.

Maybe then I'll believe you, but in countries that I visited where it was legal? The women were fairly well protected.
