Lebanon begins building 'security wall' around Palestinian refugee camp

rylah, et al,

Well, these types of activities in such locations would be a threat to any country.

The first blocks of an isolation wall were erected around the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon this week, as a plan to build 'security' cordons and watchtowers around Ain al-Hilweh came into effect.

In September, Islamic State group's top commander in Lebanon, Imad Yassin was arrested at his hideout in an overnight raid on the camp.

How many NGO's, do you think, will cry "apartheid!" or "occupation" ?
Should we send Roger Waters with the UN specialists?
Who else are the balestinians hiding ?
(COMMENT)

Just as most security barriers, it would seem that the threat is being quarantined. It is a security countermeasure against a potential threat.

Most Respectfully,
R

It's one thing to build a security wall around refugee camps when a country is generously hosting refugees. Another is to build security walls around a population whose lands you have invaded. The latter are called concentration camps.

Why is it montelaticci that:

You pretend. Pretend that “terrorists” (i.e., Hamass) don’t call “palestinian refugee camps” their home.”

It’s their FAULT [hamasss, those other pali-terrorist-cells and abbass] that these places even exist.

constant peace-offerings extended ....and all that $$$ that comes their way from around the world for "humanitarian' aid - what do they do with the $$$$$ again ??? doesn't it seem like they don't know how to use the $$$ to spruce up the place(s) - they just use the $$$$ for violent purposes it seems---fuses, bombs, bullets and lots of shovels.....instead of building UP the areas.....they like to dig DOWN and smuggle BULLshit, cochski stuff like (fuses, bombs, bullets and lots of shovels)....

the Palestinian women and children can live better lives by moving out of the (terrorist) refugee HOOD……..

fuck your cockeyed “concentration camp” crap…………

The Lebanese are "generously hosting" Pal'istanians?

Umm, no. The wall is in place to isolate the Pal'istanians.

Well, if you don't understand the difference between hosting refugees and interning a population on land acquired by conquest, you can't be helped. Your ailment is known as cognitive dissonance.

You obviously don't understand the significance of the Lebanese building a wall to contain the Arab-Moslem squatters.

Do a search with the term "black September" and try to connect some dots.

What does Lebanon have to do with Black September? Are you bewildered again?

You need a pencil, paper and some dots, dear.

Again, between you and MJ, I can't decide which one of you is more ignorant of the facts.

I can see you're completely befuddled by the facts. Your usual pattern of behavior is to lash out like a petulant child when you're corrected for your repetitive cutting and pasting.

I just find it hilarious that you find building a wall to contain Arab-Moslem squatters as being described as "generously hosting" a group. But then again, somebody has to be the Monty.

You are confusing Lebanon with Jordan and you expect anyone to take you seriously? It's like MJ's Muslim Archbishop. You two should stop posting, you are doing your fellow propagandists no favors. LOL

Your obvious limitations caused you to miss my reference to "connecting dots" in connection with the Lebanese building an Islamist terrorist holding facility.

Isolating the Pal'istanians within a walled compound can hardly be described as "generously hosting". But then again, I'll have to understand your obvious limitations.

Allowing refugees to live within a country that is not theirs has a cost, so it is generous of the host country to host the refugees.

The Lebanese, like the Europeans are generously hosting refugees today within walled or fenced holding centers, you are obviously ill-informed as to the necessity of controlling the movement of refugees until a permanent immigration solution is found. Below is such a camp in Greece.

Why, yes. Confining Arabs-Moslems who call themselves "Pal'istanians" in walled compounds is generally what one would think of as "generously hosting". It would seem that Lebanon has learned a lesson about Pal'istanians that Jordan learned "the hard way".

Perhaps you're under the impression that the Lebanese are so "generously hosting" their Pal'istanian that the security wall is intended to keep the Pal'istanians from leaving.

Yeah, that must be it.

I suppose you were the kid who always had that piece of paper taped to his back that said "Kick Me".

Of course refugees can't be allowed to leave until a permanent immigration solution is found. Are you that dim that you don't understand the process? You are beginning to overtake MJ in dimwittedness. LOL

Of course Pal'istanians can't be contained with mere fence and razor wire. Permanent obstacles where they can be contained is much more effective. How else would anyone would describe "generously hosting"?

More of the cutting and pasting you do as your attempts at sentence structure lead to some really inarticulate rambling.

I suspect we will see more of theses walled internment camps built by Lebanon as the government seeks to protect its citizens from those they are "generously hosting". Maybe the Lebanese will decide to put armed guards in towers along the perimeter of these walled compounds to make their "generously hosted" guests feel at home.

montelatici, Onyx, et al,

False analogy.

The sentiment is probably true.

BUT, Israel has NOT built a security barrier around any "refugee camp" that I am aware of.

My understanding is that Israel has not encompassed (360º) any Arab Palestinian Territory of camp. The Gaza Strip has a border in common with Egypt; while the West Bank has a border in common with Jordan.

The only reason that the Arab Palestinians would be cut off by both Arab Countries and Israel is because they each face a similar threat.

Refugee camp or concentration camp?
(COMMENT)

Israel, to my knowledge, does not maintain any Arab Palestinian Refugee Camp (not to be confused with immigration Detention Centers). I can't find one to make a correlation.

Do you have a list of Arab Palestinian Refugee Camps that are administered by the Israelis?

Most Respectfully,
R

Thanks for making my point dimwit. The Muslims and Christians of Palestine are an occupied people, not refugees. Both the border with Jordan and Egypt are controlled, respectively, by the Occupying Power, Israel either directly, West Bank or via treaty/agreement Gaza.
