Some parts definitely are. The city of Kherson is one of the examples. But you missed my point. Comparing Ukraine with Afghanistan is laughable. Because the Ukrainians won't be fighting like the Afganis did. Different country, different culture, different mentality.It's funny you mention a country without heating and electricity because Ukraine isn't suffering from those problems, Russia currently is, and that's with no one bombing their infrastructure and tearing their country up.
Right, all Putin had to do was leave Ukraine to end the war, but he refuses. Saying something so simplistic as this war "should have" stopped a year ago offers no answers or solutions.
