The missile tore into the crowded Ria Lounge restaurant at dinnertime on Tuesday, setting off a large blaze that burned for more than two hours. By Wednesday afternoon, the Ukrainian authorities said that 10 people had been confirmed dead — including 14-year-old twin sisters — and 61 others were wounded."

Video from the scene taken immediately after the event show English speaking men with the one helping a wounded exposing a quad angle tattoo with the number 3 written in it on his right arm (see video at 7 sec in). This is said to be sign of the U.S. 3rd Ranger battalion which is a part of the U.S. special operation forces.

Another video taken during rubble clearing at night has a (British?) English speaker saying "Look what these bastards are doing to this country. There's soldiers under this rubble all over."

This seems to confirm that the hotel complex and its restaurant were not exclusively used for civilian purposes but housed and catered to foreign soldiers.

Curious that this sort of attack comes so close on the heels of the Wagner affair. It may mean that Russia is pulling out the stops and throwing caution to the wind. There has to be dozens of Russian spies in this city and others that are feeding Russia targets that previously weren't being acted upon.

Serious large scale escalations by both sides should be expected now that the Ukraine's offensive has stalled. The Ukraine can't keep promising that it's coming, but it never comes!

Note that RT is careful to not make any mention of US military casualties. It will be the elephant in the room for a few days, but it can't be maintained for long if Russia is going to make a habit of doing this.

🗓 In the evening of 27 Jun 2023, Russian forces struck the RIA Lounge Restaurant in the centre of #Kramatorsk with an Iskander ballistic missile system.

There were mercenaries in the arrival area, among whom Alex Gallant (), Arnaud Dedecker and Nich Durkworth (), as well as three Colombian nationals were identified. In one of the videos from the scene, you can also see that one of the wounded has a tattoo of the US Army's 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment on his arm ().

However, the foreigners were not the main target of the strike at all. There were several specific representatives of the AFU command staff at the site, with ranks up to general. As rightly pointed out by Older than Edda (), at least a parked army offroad vehicle without a driver is an indication of this.

The statement of the SBU about the capture of an employee of the gas transport company who made covert filming of those inside the restaurant also speaks in favour of the version. Such an extremely swift search for spotters usually takes place when important locations are hit.

Unfortunately, the strike on the site in #Kramatorsk was not without civilian casualties. In all, the local authorities reported the deaths of 10 people, but it is unlikely that they included those who were the real target of the strike. As often happens, their names will "surface" in the Ukrainian media after a while.

The Ukrainian Security Service has already found a scapegoat and announced that it had detained a "Russian agent" in Kramatorsk who allegedly reported to the GRU ( The Russian Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces) about the mercenaries in the Ria Lounge before the shelling. ()They put a blame on an ordinary worker of the local gas transport company, who came under the hot hand. The man's face is blurred, but even underneath you can see that he most likely has bruises.

Obviously, according to the footage, the man is intimidated and says what he is told to, because the detainee did not even mention the foreign mercenaries in the restaurant, whose presence has already been confirmed even by foreign sources.
