Kevin McCarthy Thinks Trump is Going to Prison

Of course he is! LOL

Reporters asked McCarthy about the recent misdemeanor charges for the president's son, and he compared them to the accusations of Trump taking the classified documents and obstructing justice by not returning them. That's when he let it slip he thought "a political opponent" was likely going to prison.
"Do you think it's equal and fair that a political opponent is gonna be given jail time — but a presidential son — and if you compare this to other individuals in America that have the same accusations against them, the same crimes that they had been guilty of, they are proposed to have ten years and another time period?" McCarthy said to CNN's Manu Raju.

How long have you thought you were clairvoyant, Nostradumbass?

Well.. you are not.

I can afford the $10,000 loss if it comes to it. The odds are 999 to 1 that he doesn’t see a day of prison.
He won't. The worst he'll see is a fine and possibly short house arrest in opulent surroundings. We're not going to put a president with a SS detail in prison, and no one has even dreamed that he could be stripped of it.

If Trump goes to prison, while Biden et al gets away with massive corruption taking millions from foreign countries, there will be such an uprising against the DOJ and the weaponized government that the French Revolution will look like a day at the beach by comparison.

I don't think so.

They still beat the Jan 6 drum constantly. If something else happened again they would stamp that shit out fast and hard and label them as terrorists reminding everyone again that trump incites terrorists citing Jan 6.

Plus most of the country are soft and weak willed people who wouldn't do anything and a lot of the others are afraid of getting stepped on by the government and society. Plus trump isn't beloved by all, a lot of people would begin attacking his supporters.

No, he goes to jail there might be a few incidents but they will be squashed before dinner time and democrats will begin a crusade against republicans and people who like trump and they will grab more power than they have as it is.

How Much Prison Time Does Former President Trump Face? Applying the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines

Now that the public has seen the current list of federal charges against former President Donald Trump, there is a long road ahead. If the defendant is ultimately convicted, that road will lead to sentencing. The Espionage Act charges the defendant faces carry a maximum prison sentence of ten years. The Tampering (and related Conspiracy) and Concealment charges each carry a maximum prison sentence of twenty years. The Scheme to Conceal and False Statements charges each carry a maximum prison sentence of 5 years. Of course, in any criminal case, numerous factors affect the sentence, and focusing on the statutory maximums can be misleading. Federal law, specifically 18 U.S.C. § 3553, directs courts to impose a sentence based on a list of considerations. The U.S. Sentencing Commission issues Sentencing Guidelines to assist courts and promote consistent application of criminal law. Sentencing trends in similar cases can provide reference points, but only if similar cases exist. This quick note gives an idea of how a sentence would be calculated, with the caveat that issues such as sentencing on multiple counts of conviction, related conduct, and new factual developments could arise.
