Free Trade - Gone.... I agree that there should be import restrictions and/or fines that balance things out. For example, if we want to have a law regarding safety, then it is ridiculous to allow imports from countries where that law on safety does not apply. What's the point? To move our production off shore? Same for labor rates, what's the point of a minimum wage or other wage rates when they don't apply to imported products?
