Hi, my name is Lance and I'm new here. I was not refered but was searching for a place to express the views I have that simply cannot remain contained inside. A little about myself I guess.

I am from Louisiana. And no, we are not just stupid cajuns. OK, well, some are.

I am a registered Republican.

I was born and raised in a liberal Democrat household by ranked parents in the Louisiana Democratic party. Our ex and presently incarcerated popular Democrat governor used to frequently visit our house.

US Army Reserve Vet. 12/88 to 12/96

Believe in my right to bear arms.

Believe men should not have the right to decide on abortion unless we start giving birth.

Believe government has a purpose but its purpose has been distorted since the Civil War. The government has no responsibility or right to our daily lives.

Have personally sucessfully converted most of the Democrats I grew up with and met to step away from the "Dark Side" side and to see the Light of the Right.

You seem to be talking "Polar" politics. Saying that you've converted many from the "Dark Side" to the light. What about the center where most educated Americans reside? Polarization doesn't happen through chance. There are factions in this country whose very existence is based on the need to herd us like sheep and place us at one pole or the other for easy pickings. There is no Dark side or Light side, only economics and it's varying ideologies.

The Dark side Light side thing was a joke. I am a registered Republican but the reality is that until the major majority of Americans stop worrying about Hollywood and style and start worrying about Washington D.C. and substance, I shall remain a Republican. I prefer business as usual to moderate socialism and government interference. In a Democratic Republic society, a 2 party system simply cannot work. But unfortunatly, in this time, if a candidate is not affiliated with the 2 majors, they stand little to no chance. The simple truth of the matter is American citizens mean nothing to the "elected" government officials. We need to get people like the Ted Kennedys and Nancy Pelosi's out of office if the people ever wish to take back control of this great country. True campaign finance reform with limits and term limits on all elected officials will be a good start, not the end all answer, but a good start. But we, the citizens, cannot get this done as long as the elected officials get the only vote. What would happen to this country if all employers left it to the individual employees to decide if they are worthy of a raise and if so, how much and their fellow employees get to vote on who gets hired and fired?

Get over your ridiculous fawning worship of intellectuals. Being educated doesn't make a person "better" or even smarter. It just makes them more likely to have been brainwashed into good liberals and anti-American pieces of shit.

I never took the time to learn it. I can understand most but cannot speak it. I'm not a full Coon-Ass anyway. My dad was from California so I am only a Half-Ass.

Spoken like a true supporter of the anti-intellectual movement. I didn't say education makes one better, I said that most educated Americans reside away from the pole and subscribe to more centrist thought LEFT and Right of center. You, on the other hand, are obviously a fundamentalist which makes you a probable retard. Get over your polar political shit and use what little brainpower you have.
