Tell you what, buddy, if you want to have a war on terrorism, reinstitute a draft, raise taxes to pay for it, sell war bonds for the immediate needs (requiring taxes to stay high long after the war is over. ) Ration goods and require the economy to service the war effort. You know, like we did in World War II.

The problem is, "Terrorism" isn't a political ideology, it isn't a nation, it is a concept.

A war on terrorism is as meaningless as a war on poverty. There will always be poverty, there will always be terrorism.

You are shifting the debate as to the most effective way to combat terrorism. First off, your strategy is beyond archaic. The modern way to combat terrorism is to first have strong intelligence infrastructure (you can thank Dick Cheney for that) and then you need to disrupt terrorist networks economically.
