One ofthose prez the more you hear about him the worseit gets............................................

He could havegiven away secrets during his trysts with dames.

He NEVER should have made the fatal trip to Dallas - the Secret Service said in no uncertain terms - DONT GO.

And Nixon debated him to a standstill and didnt contest the cehating in Chicago.

JFK was overrated because he was fabulously rich and his father could afford the best press agents. The Navy wanted to court martial JFK for being the skipper of the only PT boat to be run over in the entire war but Old Joe who dabbled in show-business hired a writer to turn the story around before it got started. Since the only information source available at the time was liberal and the media was used to covering up for democrats the corrupt Kennedy clan became "Camelot" and Marilyn Monroe's death was ruled an overdose.

JFK is overrated, but for a reason both of you missed. He died in office.

JFK was a good president. He cut taxes and planned to pull all our troops out of Nam. He also intended to limit the military industrial complex and cut the CIA...but that got him killed.

JFK said....he intended "to splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds."

Big government is so grand.

JFK was so overrated because the people felt he provided them an opportunity to be part of something they could only dream of.

Not unlike Obama being so popular due to the belief of so many that voting for a black man would finally cure them of their irrational sense of white guilt.

Uber-fail on both counts.

Just how different do you think the results would have been had Clinton been nominated instead of Obama?

The Republicans were in the toilet at that point, nothing but an absolute miracle could have won that race.

JFK wasn't in office long enough to live up to all the hype that surrounded him.
Aside from his handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis, he wasn't around long enough to really accomplish much.
The "Ask not what your country can do for you..." statement, a statement that by today's Democrat party would be immediately deemed racist, gave the impression that he knew the roles of government and the individual in America and his challenge to the nation to put a man on the moon implied that he truly believed in American exceptionalism but unfortunately we'll never really know how great or poor a president he might have been.

JFK's corrupt use of the CIA to recruit, feed, equip and train an illegal army to invade Cuba should stand out as a symbol of how bad things can get if the media disregards their duty to monitor the administration and instead becomes it's propaganda arm. When JFK lost his nerve and left the invasion army to be killed and captured at the Bay of Pigs the Russians correctly assumed they were dealing with a dilettante fool of a rich kid with a crazy brother as attorney general.

I do not believe you are correct.

The CIA was responsible for the Bay of Pigs and is to blame for its failure. JFK approved the mission, but had nothing to do with its development. The mission was developed during Eisenhower's administration and Ike gave it complete approval.

JFK later fired the head of the CIA (Allen Dulles) for Dulles' incompetence in the failed invasion.

Funny thing...that same guy (Dulles) was brought back into the government AFTER JFK was killed in a coup d'etat in Dallas....he was put on the Warren Commission to investigate his old bosses murder, which many think he helped accomplish.

CRAZY!!!

Only in conservative fantasy land is being black a leg-up in America.

Liberal looney land isn't America.

Say what skull face? US Troops weren't in VietNam. That was another democrat president LBJ. As a matter of fact the Kennedy brothers used the CIA in such an illegal way when they organized, equipped and trained a little army of Cuban invaders that they both should have been impeached

Got it, a republican plans it out, pays for it, is responsible for training the guys. Then a democrat comes into office and says "ok" and its completely the democrats fault.

Obviously you aren't looking at the world through biased glasses.

You are wrong. JFK did have several thousand troops in Nam when he was murdered. He planned to pull all of them right after the election of '64, which got him murdered.

Yes...LBJ is no doubt the Butcher of Vietnam.

And regarding the Bay of Pigs, you again do not have your facts right. Eisenhower had approved it and it was all set up during his administration NOT during JFK's administration.

Eisenhower sent the first American troops to Vietnam.
