It appears that the more Americans think about having Romney or Bush in the White House the less they like the thought of that reality. This poll goes completely against the other poll claiming that moderate Republicans were beating the crap out of all others.

Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney see their ratings fall as they run to the political center in preview of White House campaigns
  • Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, gets positive marks from just 27 per cent of Americans and 52 per cent of Republicans
  • His numbers inside his own party are down 8 points since before his presidential buzz started and 40 per cent of Americans see him negatively
  • Bush does even worse, with only 19 per cent of Americans saying they like him – down 7 points since before he launched an exploratory committee
  • President George W. Bush's brother has the backing of a scant 30 per cent of self-described conservatives, compared to 45 per cent for Romney
  • Bush's embrace of immigration reform and 'Common Core' standards may doom him with right-wingers, and Romney will clash with them on global warming and the minimum wage

That's reassuring. The GOP and conservatives really need to divest themselves of this hierarchy bullshit. Same on the left. No more Clintons. Chelsey? Get a real job. Hillary? No. Write a few more books and retire to Chautauqua and STFU.

Mitt's never gonna accelerate as long as Obamagas is around.
And "Bush fatigue" -- nice thought, but 15 years too late.

Good. The last thing we need is another RINO as our candidate.

If their stars are waning it is fine with me. Neither will bring the republicans victory and quite honestly if it came down to bush or Hilary, or mitt or Hilary voters will say they are all the same and so I'll just go ahead and vote for the first woman president. I do not understand why the establishment doesn't get it.

I would just like to see the "family dynasties" pass the torch to young up and comers. This goes for both sides of the aisle and for all levels of government.

Pass the torch and step aside graciously for a new generation of public servants.

The first primary is a year away. It doesn't matter how anybody is polling.

That's what everyone says when their guys are losing, loser. Try being at least a bit more original.

No, he's absolutely right. Check the calendar-- it's January Freaking 2015. Not even an election year. Any polls going on right now are meaningless wankitude.

The people have that power, they just don't exercise it.

Republicans haven't won the White House without a Bush since 1972

from what I've read Christie was the star in Iowa.

long way to go, long time to get there for all of them.
