Indeed, I noticed that. The Deep State had their plants everywhere. I think many of them whored themelves to Trump at first to get him to appoint them. Then they stabbed him in the back. Many of them deliberately made themselves look stupid, just to make him look stupid....just like John McCain acted stupid in October 2008 on purpose to assure Obama's win. Later he supported Obamacare when he said he wouldn't. The man was NOT working as a Republican although he ran as one. Honestly, I have to admit one thing about Trump: He was certainly a bit novice when it comes to playing cat 'n' mouse ala CIA. He truly underestimated those people and gave them way too much ammo to use against him. Trump DOES have a big mouth that has got him into trouble many times. Hopefully if he's re-elected he'll be more careful and mindful of that. Having a big mouth doesn't make one's policies and decisions wrong.

Blaming everyone but Trump is the answer to Trump being a horrible president. Maybe Trump just sucks. But he's got a good sales pitch. Maybe he should stay in real estate and out of politics.

What gets me is how far to the left Trump has taken his supporters, and they don't even realize it. I've seen some here mentioning the Trump policies they support, but haven't actually stated any.

His trade policies with China and Mexico sucks. His Platinum Plan was socialism. His FISA reauthorization was unconstitutional. Trump funded gender studies in Pakistan, ffs. You don't get much more liberal than that.

There isn't any truth in what Trump has been saying about DeSantis. Not a shred of truth. The worst thing is that there's no reason for Trump to be lying. DeSantis was never going to beat Trump in the primaries. Just wasn't going to happen. Not because DeSantis isn't great, he is, but because Trump's following (Which I used to count myself among), is too numerous. Talking bull shit about the man was completely unnecessary.

This Trump cult is helping to destroy DeSantis on the slight chance that Trump can even be president. Who's going to fill that void? Some guy the southern rednecks are going to mistake for a Muslim? Scott? Haley?

The sad thing about this is that it's not even the left that's taking down DeSantis.

The NBT's (Nobody But Trump) people are going to hand the white house over to the democrats, on a silver platter. Trumps policies were very left leaning. DeSantis is to the right of Trump on policies. Plus he has the experience to know what to look for and how to counter the left. Trump just caves. And then cries about it.
Much of his support right now comes from sympathy, for the way the democrats have done him.
And much of what he's facing comes from people he appointed. Like Wray. He's was a Trump guy.

Trump is simply not cut out to be the president. He's an order giver in a world where no one has to take his orders. And he just lies to much.


But you know what's really wrong with DeSantis? He doesn't entertain people like Trump does. DeSantis still has a military mind. He's very serious. Trump's a salesman. And entertaining salesman.

Trump didn't want to change the swamp. He wanted to be the KING of the swamp. Otherwise he wouldn't have reauthorized FISA. Especially after they used it against him during the 2016 campaign.

I've actually considered your stance. I'm truly a free thinker and don't generally join the “hive” in most cases. I honestly don't believe there's a single man on earth that would represent more than 50% of my ideals. So the best I can ever give any candidate is about 50% of my support (at best). I would say Trump and DeSantis both have about 50% of my support. Biden has -50% and I'm being generous.

I'm 75% in agreement. But I was opposed to Trump's suggestion to impose "red flag laws" on gun owners. A Red Flag Law says that a person is guilty before proving his innocence. I was and am opposed to Trump's belief in the dangerous vaccine. Even with all the evidence before him, he still thinks they're great. And I still wonder why he surrounded himself with Deep Staters (Wray, Barr, Pence, Kushner, etc.). I think Trump means well, overall, but he ain't perfect.

I'm with you on Biden. But I put Trump at about +25%. He's way too liberal for me. IMO, he a reincarnation of Reagan. A hell of a speaker and salesman. And that's good for winning an election. But not so good if you're wanting a conservative president. One who will veto spending bills, stop increasing the debt ceiling, end the wars and occupations we're in, and veto unconstitutional legislation. Especially things like FISA and the NDAA.

DeSantis's congressional voting record kind of sucks. But I give a little bit of a break since he was new in politics. But because of his recent record in FL, he's "earned" my support. All of Trumps supposed "winning" ended in 2018 when he handed the house over to the democrats.

When you break free from all the political propaganda and sales pitches, and start really analyzing Trump record, the more you realize he's just a political salesman.

Here's a good example: Trump touts his "Platinum Plan" and all the good things (and money spent) on blacks. The way he sales it, it looks great. Sure, why not help the blacks. Give them money to start business's, clean up with streets, fund programs to help them get a better education. After all, they've been suppressed by the white man and need a hand out.

Then it dawns on you... $500 BILLION to the black community, just because they're black? That's like racist socialism. Never mind the fact that blacks have so many organizations and laws that benefit them over white people. That if each and every one of them wanted to succeed in something, they could.

After you realize that, then you see Trump without the sales lines. Do that same thing with his China trade deal, banned bump stocks, his version of NAFTA (which is almost exactly like the old version) and you start to see just how liberal Trump really is.

And then you wonder why TF so many republicans are supporting him.

I'm not voting for Ron DeSantis even though he is one of the best governors ever to be elected to any of the 50 states or other territories. I like him a lot, and I adore his family. But Trump was innocent of every sick thing Hillary Clinton demanded he be "indicted" and "impeached" because he got more votes than she did in an election, and she has since then engaged and paid everyone she knows to lie about Trump and to make him look like the north side of a horse going south. She and her sisters in Congress managed to get him impeached based on lies and contract agreements with him that other people broke and agreed to go after him with criminal lies and false narratives written up by, yes, Hillary Clinton's war room.

I understand that but it has nothing at all to do with DeSantis. there is no reason for him to lie like that.

I do remember that Ron DeSantis enjoyed popularity in his own state when President Trump endorsed his candidacy and pulled him up to the top for a very pleasant win of a governorship.

That's another lie Trump tells. DeSantis was leading the other GOP candidates before he backed him, and once he got the nom, his democrat opponent was such a douchbag that it's amazing Ron didn't completely clobber him.

And yes, Governor DeSantis had supporters richer than Trump who set aside his wealth to become the President of the United States in spite of Hillary's multiple attempts to block Trump's victory over her campaign which was in trouble from the beginning because of her reputation as a vicious, conniving rival, which had absolutely nothing to do with Trump, except that she got a huge windfall financially by her good friend George Soros. What she and Mr. Soros didn't know is that the American people do not appreciate shennannigans steeped in jealousy over someone elses' talent for making other people feel appreciated when they do something good. President Trump has proven himself voter friendly because he stands up for minorities with his teeth in it, whereas Mme. RodhamClinton goes for the neck right after she sharpens her teeth. Get the difference?

I know all that but it's really irrelevant to this discussion on DeSantis.

If you don't, you may be watching too much false narrative that was proffered by one-sided mainstream media on 300 stations that told Hillary's tall tales against Trump 24-7-365. And it was so obvious the majority of American voters were not impressed by the unsupported narratives, i.e., a lie a minute total smarming. It was not Trump's fault that Hillary's lies went unappreciated by a truth-loving American voter majority and her deep state digging her campaign's sorry grave.

Yeah I hate Hillary too but that is no excuse for Trump's lying about Ron DeSantis.
