It's official. Obama now holds the record for most land seized by feds.260 million acres

People like Tyrone wish to sell it all off to the highest bidder. Then we can all drive by the No Trespassing signs on the land we used to hunt and fish on. And look on as Saudis, Japanese, and Chinese enjoy those activities while, we, the American Citizens are no longer allowed to do so. That is what the GOP is trying to do. They even voted to do so last year in the Senate.

It’s difficult to understand why, given decades of consistent, strong support from voters of both parties for protecting land, water and the thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in economic benefits these resources make possible.

Last week, the United States Senate voted 51 to 49 to support an amendment to a nonbinding budget resolution to sell or give away all federal lands other than the national parks and monuments.

If the measure is ever implemented, hundreds of millions of acres of national forests, rangelands, wildlife refuges, wilderness areas and historic sites will revert to the states or local governments or be auctioned off. These lands constitute much of what’s left of the nation’s natural and historical heritage.

This was bad enough. But it followed a 228-to-119 vote in the House of Representatives approving another nonbinding resolution that said “the federal estate is far too large” and voiced support for reducing it and “giving states and localities more control over the resources within their boundaries.” Doing so, the resolution added, “will lead to increased resource production and allow states and localities to take advantage of the benefits of increased economic activity.

American Citizens, do you really think that these people are looking out for your interests?

not like this president Kenney, Carter, Clinton. Never acted like this. Then you switched the focus to tyrone. LOL

The Amount Of Land Obama Has Seized For The Feds Will Astound You

Just from a practical stand point. There really is no need for this. But this is an agenda to gain back power. I guess at some point in life Obama felt he was disempowered by someone. And this is his way of getting even.

As others have asked- who was this 'land' seized from? Is it possible to seize Federal land to become- Federal land?

Every President has created National Monuments- I believe it was the good Republican Teddy Roosevelt who started the tradition.

Yep. In fact their not going far enough, the Constitution spells out quite plainly what lands the feds should control and for what purposes, and that ain't it.
