In all sincerity, it is often hard to understand the mindset of elected republicans....Follow me on this:
The main principle of the republican doctrine is LESS government intrusion in our daily lives....and on the surface, no freedom loving American could argue against that concept.....
However, lets see what republicans are now stating......
1. Absolutely NO gay and lesbian marriages.....government MUST stop this.
2. Although we have a Voters; Rights Act, government MUST insist on photo IDs if you want to vote.
3. Although it would very difficult to pull off for a poor person, governments MUST insist that no welfare money should be used to buy a ticket to a cruise (straw- man cause, anyone?)
4. In the utter bizarre writings on posters that many republicans carried in the previous 2 presidential election, government MUST keep its hands off Medicare (what??)
Just a few examples of many other of the hypocritical stances that republicans have taken.
Government isn't stopping gay marriage. It's a matter for the courts and many are giving the okay. Dems worry more about social issues than the big problems facing the country.
Our voting system should be treated sacred. That means eliminating cheating. It is utter bullshit that people survive with no ID because you can't get welfare or a job without one. People are surviving somehow, so they must have ID. Anyone without one must be living in a cave and has no television, so how would they know there is an election? Besides, Obamacare is the law and you must have an ID for that, so no more excuses.
People are using EBT cards in inappropriate ways. They have been used in many places, from casinos to tattoo parlors. Some drug busts proved that drug dealers are taking the cards as payment. To prevent fraud, waste and abuse, some rules have got to be in place. Don't like the rules? Too fucking bad. Hand outs come with strings attached.
Both Medicare and Social Security were doomed to fail from the start because these pyramid schemes are unsustainable. But the Dems have gotten people relying on them and the average worker invested a lot of money over the years to keep the programs going. They could have put that money in a retirement account and they'd be better off, but the government took the money and put it in a sinking program. That is usually what happens when government runs anything. They fuck it up.
Now it's necessary to keep those programs going until we can figure out a better way. It is unfair that so many people are getting benefits, the real entitlements, without having paid their fair share to keep it going. There are fewer workers per beneficiary these days. That is how Ponzi schemes go. Unsustainable. Doesn't help that politicians can't keep their grubby paws off the funds. They owe the SS fund and probably rob any fund they get their hands on. Then Obama tried to scare people by claiming they might not get their Social Security checks when the debt ceiling debate was going on. The SS fund is separate and shouldn't be affected, but Obama saw fit to cause a panic with people.
Obamacare is also robbing Medicare.
Funny how welfare recipients are never threatened and they are the only ones who didn't work for those benefits.
Liberals are the hypocrites. They want to give away tax money with little oversight, yet the IRS is a bully to the tax payers. Imagine if there were as many rules for the takers as there is for the givers.
People like that liberal bitch, Perry, are the ones who are full of shit. She says she happily pays taxes. The tampon earring-wearing airhead failed to pay taxes and owes a big chunk to the IRS.

Look at the number of people in Obama's cabinet who cheated on their taxes. Al Sharpton hasn't paid in years and kept starting new businesses and organizations as the previous ones went bankrupt.
But they are all about taxing the shit out of us to fund their big promises.
