It Was Done on Tobacco. It Can Be Done on Guns.

Higher minority population equates to more crime. Murder rates in major cities are on the rise. Cities Grapple With Rising Murder Rates
That is simplly not true.

You are regurgitating the corporate media message intended to drive a wedge between working class people along lines of race, gender, religion, etc, the old 'Divide and Conquer' ; dont fall for the bullshit.
Wrong again. Half of the murders in the US are committed by black males. We are talking 1/16 of the population committing 1/2 of the homicides. THAT you can check at the CDC and the FBI. Hardly corporate media, there fella. If you'd like to check murder rates, I'd suggest Chicago PD inc.
And that has been the case with every agricultural ethnic group that has transitioned into the American main stream society.

Thanks to excessive interventions by the Feds, blacks have been caught in a kind of time warp in terms of the transition, and so their crime stats are sort of frozen rates of crime for decades now. And the majority of those killed by blacks are OTHER BLACKS.

But the old Irish immigrants from the 1800's and stretching into the early 20th century had criminal groups that would rival any black gangs today and they had some really mean bastards, same goes with the Irish and Jews.

You do understand that you are "shooting yourself in the foot", right?

Backs my assertion that increased gun sales are to those already owning guns

See what's funny in that chart? Gun nuts buy into "Democrats going to take your guns" fear mongering and stocked up when Clinton and Obama were elected....remained flat under Bush
Is gun ownership really down in America?

The Associated Press and Time ignored other polls by Gallup and ABC News/Washington Post. These polls show that gun ownership rates have been flat over the same period. According to Gallup, household gun ownership has ranged from 51 percent in 1994 to 34 percent in 1999. In 2014, it was at 42 percent – comparable to the 43-45 percent figures during the 1970s.
A 2011 Gallup poll with the headline “Self-Reported Gun Ownership in U.S. Is Highest Since 1993” appears to have gotten no news coverage.

It is simply amazing that libtards cant conceive of people lying to pollsters as they see the anti-gun agenda reaching its peak.

Agree...we all know what liars gun owners are

Doesn't matter. Doesn't change the fact that your policies accomplish nothing, but to punish those who obey the law.

Criminals are not going to tell the truth, and they are going to get their guns, no matter what some mindless idiots with anti-gun posters do.

Why do you want to sell your gun to a criminal?

Don't you care?

You are not being punished
Only asked to be more responsible
Legal gun owners are already the most responsible and law abiding segment of society. Hell they get a background check at every purchase. CCP holders are even more carefully scrutinized. What you want to do is place more restrictions on people who are extremely unlikely to commit a crime using a gun and ignoring the thug culture, the gangs, the people who should not even be in our country; you know, the ones who ignore laws by their very nature.

Here's the problem with background checks. To refuse to sell a gun to someone who has failed their background check is a violation of the second amendment.

no it isn't because the second amendment only restrains government action. If your boss fires you for making rude comments about his appearance that is not a violation of the first amendment if your boss is not a government agent. and if your boss fires you for wearing a t-shirt that says FUCK THE GOVERNMENT that is not a first amendment violation either
A Government entity requiring a gun shop to not sell guns to someone who fails the background check is a violation of the second amendment. If the gun shop does it on their own, ok. But if the government tells them to not do it it's not ok.
False.

Your rights can and are removed by a court of law when you violate the law. That is one of the primary functions of the justice system. Background checks simply check to see if you have had those rights removed through the justice system.

That is the primary problem with the mental health side of the issue - the courts need to have purview over removing your rights where you have the ability to redress your grievances and defend yourself and no one else should have the ability to do so.
That is also a violation of the second amendment. It does not say you have the right to bear arms unless you're a criminal.

But the 5th amendment says your rights can be removed through due process.

Racism makes this different.

Maybe we should actually TRY background checks first lol. Like over 80% want...
You aren't aware of the fact that we've had federal background checks since 1993...?
Ridiculous BS...
Ah - so you ARE ignorant of the fact that federal law has required background checks since 1993.
Here's link - educate yourself.
Gun Checks/NICS
Glad I could help.
Still huge loopholes, dupe. Ridiculous lol. 80%+ want them closed. NOT bans or taking them away like the imaginary tripe dupes believe. Trump says Hilary wants to repeal the 2nd Amendment. Absolute BS.

I love the gun grabber threads..........gives everybody on this board the chance to identify those who don't have both feet on the ground ( ie: the real mental cases ) :spinner:

Record number of Americans oppose handgun ban

And nobody cares about gun control..........according to Pew from January 2016, gun control is SMACK DAB ON THE BOTTOM on the list of voter concerns.

Pew: Deficit issues slip as voter priority in favor of economy and national security - Hot Air

You speak from ignorance and/or dishonesty - there is no legal way to avoid the background checks prescribed by federal law; as such there are no loopholes.
So, the question of the day: Are you lying or do you simply not have any idea what you're talking about?

Oh.....and btw......Hillary was part of an administration that set up a gun running operation to Mexico for the purpose of flooding America with automatic weapons. The goal......to move towards in your face gun control.

The scandal in Washington no one is talking about

Make no mistake...........Hillary Clinton is coming for peoples guns. No secret unless you exist amongst the low-information zombies of our society.:coffee:

This thread is ripe with board members that remind one of the old pidgeon shitting on the chessboard and flying away illustration. ( see ghey moral equivalence post above )

A distinct minority wants more gun laws and for people who are voting in November, its on nobodys radar. ( see poll/links above  ) The gun grabber sentiment has never been more unpopular than it is in 2016.......yet these people on here think we are on the cusp of 86ing the 2nd amendment real soon.

People NEED guns because we have people out there who are navigating the world in a perpetual state of sketchy.........these people might well conclude that Kate Hudson is big boobed!!!

It's called due process. The courts usually remove your right to vote and purchase and own firearms as part of your sentence.

You are a ridiculous brainwashed functional moron. Ask the Chicago gang bangers who go to private dealers at gun shows in neighboring states or the Va dealers bringing carloads of guns up to NYC. Idiot.
