is an unemployed Oil rig worker from Oklahoma.Who visits europe
to help his daugher who is serving 5 years.The action/drama takes
place in Marseilles { a little better for wear than - French Connection II - }.
Damon is at his usual very good to outstanding.
But I doubt his political mindset is able to shift characters
or become moved no matter how much his own Country
becomes Unrecognizable.There's no doubt todays United States
is fastly becoming different to a near point of no return.
On practically every level.No Pro Forma acting or Hollywood
script need apply.It's Alive and Not Well.Unlike our Hollywood
hero's of yesteryear,except for a few,Hollywood has become a
wasteland of unspent talent masquerating as if an unexhausted well.
I can't think of any Great Actor of the 40's,50's and 60's
{ forget the 80's } who would go out in public and act
so nonchalant when his bread and butter { Country } is
close to Falling.
Saying stuff like ... It Is what It Is ... can't even come close to
cutting it.
Sometimes a Movie can have an impact.
Often times ... s'not.

I guess this is what happens when a person lives a
sheltered existence.Worse than a mere recluse.
It's like taking away a childs right to talk about
candy bars.Or their first bicycle.
Or pet dog or cat.
It ain't natural.But then Covid 19 wasn't natural.
But making a big deal about was Natural.
Mainly on account Big Brother wouldn't have it any other
way.At least an Actor or Actress has to make a good showing
or won't make it.

How sure can you be.On a message board that's like
pretending to be Tarzan when in fact it's easier to
be cast as Arnold Stang { popular voice on TV for
' Chunky ' Chocolate bars }.Which were like sqaure
