actually, what i see is the Israelis said they didnt use anything illegal, and the REPORTER assumed that to mean they didnt use white phosphorus, again, the reporter ASSUMING that ANY use of white phosphorus was illegalit doesn't look like Israel has broken any laws here regarding white phosphorus. They may have lied and said they didn't use it, but there is no evidence they've broken any laws regarding it.

BBC News - Israel to restrict white phosphorus use in future warsThe Israeli military will restrict its use of artillery shells containing white phosphorus, it has told the UN.
The controversial weapons cause deadly burns and rights groups say they are banned from use in civilian areas.
The Israel Defense Forces used weapons containing white phosphorus during a 22-day assault on Gaza which began in December 2008.
In its report to the UN, the IDF said steps would be taken in future to avoid civilian casualties.

January 23 Israel launches investigation into white phosphorus munitions: Some practices could be illegal. The IDF is holding an investigation concerning one specific unit and one incident.
