Israeli forces arrest 12-year-old in Beitunia

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces arrested a 12-year-old child in front of his house in Beitunia, a village west of Ramallah, on Friday. The child was forcibly snatched from his mother's arms as she and some of her neighbors attempted to prevent his arrest.*He was taken to Ofer detention camp, and was beaten on the way.*

Another unlawful arrest of a child carried out by Israel in Occupied Palestine.

The crimes against Palestinian children never end.

Where is the ourage of the world over 65 years of human rights abuses against Palestinian children by Israel?

I guess if the IDF did want to question this boy there must have been a good reason. 12 year olds and younger are often stone throwing or doing some other stuff not according to the law, so more power to the IDF for sorting out the crimes of the young. Perhaps he and others won't misbehave again.

Is i your contention that children should never be arrested? Even the American children who massacre their friends and teachers?

" ... and was beaten on the way." Standard Arab propaganda. You just lap it up and believe is must be true. I do not.

The IDF loves to have stones thrown at them. Look at the facts. Over and over and over again they keep going back for more.

What a sick thing to say. Do you think babies and children love having rocks thrown at them as well?

The Israelis created a tough neighborhood then chose to live in it with their children.

The attacks on children seems not to matter to them.

These practices of unlawfully detaining children are some of the most awful practices for me to read about. Imagine what families endure, being woken in the middle of the night and their children carried away. They are not told where they are being taken or when they will see them again.

Israel unlawfully transfers 60% of Palestinian child detaineesPosted on:*28 Feb 2013*|*Ramallah, 28 February 2013—

Data recently compiled by Defence for Children International Palestine shows that Israeli authorities unlawfully transferred nearly 60 percent of Palestinian child detainees to detention facilities inside Israel in violation of international law.In January, 223 Palestinian children were detained and imprisoned in the Israeli military court system, an increase of 14 percent from December 2012 according to data obtained by DCI–Palestine from the Israel Prison Service. The number of children held in detention facilities inside Israel in January increased significantly as 132 Palestinian child detainees were held outside of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, an increase of 33 percent from December 2012.“The evidence is compelling that the illegal forcible transfer of Palestinian children to prisons inside Israel is systematic within the Israeli military court system,” said Ayed Abu Eqtaish, Accountability Program Director at DCI-Palestine. “These transfers are potentially harmful because they practically ensure little or no contact with family members.”Children detained and imprisoned in facilities inside Israel receive either limited or no family visits due to freedom of movement restrictions in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as the difficulty and time that it takes to obtain a permit to visit a child in prison.

Evidence collected by DCI–Palestine shows that Palestinian children arrested in the West Bank, continue to be transferred to prisons inside Israel in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention. DCI-Palestine regularly documents cases of ill-treatment during arrest, interrogation and pre-trial detention of Palestinian child detainees; the majority of which occur within 48 hours after an arrest and prior to a child’s first appearance before a military court judge.Adopted after World War II, the Fourth Geneva Convention established specific rules and standards for the treatment of civilians in armed conflict, including during an occupation. The International Court of Justice has reaffirmed the applicability of the Fourth Geneva Convention to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.Article 76 specifically prohibits the transfer of individuals out of occupied territory stating “[p]rotected persons accused of offences shall be detained in the occupied country, and if convicted they shall serve their sentences therein.” According to Article 147, unlawful transfers are considered a grave breach of the convention.

Children are arrested every day in the USA-----their parents usually object.
Where is the outrage world over for 1400 years of islamic human rights abuses
against children -----thruout the middle east, africa, parts of europe and larger
parts of asia----against Zoroastirian, Jewish, Chrstian, Hindu etc children ----
the brutal murders, the rapes, the obscene mutilations and the enslavements ---of
HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS----and counting? The crimes comitted by the kith and
kin of sherri never end. Just in sudan---thousands of kids remain enslaved to the
filth sherri endorses

US law enforcement does not target a group to discriminate against and drag their young children away in raids in early morning hours and deny them lawyers and family presence and torture them into making false confessions. Israel does all of that, not the US.

How do you know? have you ever been in the position of examining recent
arrestees or in the position of examing inmates who COMPLAIN of abuse in jail?
Either you are lying or you simply do not know your business. US cops REGULARLY
arrest people in the very wee hours of the night on warrant----because that is when
people are HOME. Arrestees and inmates REGULARLY complain of being "tortured"---
IN THE USA and REGULARLY complain of infringement of their rights . Have you
discussed your views with jail wardens? even prison cooks in the USA would laugh
in your idiot face. I was TAUGHT and practiced that which I was taught----
NEVER DISCOUNT a complaint until it is proven untrue-------I wasted lots of
time believing lots of complaints to the point there were times when professors laughed
in my face

Sherri endorsed the above idiotic comment. So many of her own comments and
her endorsements remind me of the comments made by rapists and murders chained
to their bed-rails. "if she didn't want to be raped---why did she take a walk
at midnight"?? or---"if she didn't want to be raped----why was
her door left unlocked'?? "if she had cooperated ----I would not have
HAD TO KILL HER" -----or my all time fave "If he had just given me
the money ----I would not have HAD to kill him"
